The title basicaly sais it, I was just wondering, I'm beeing tested now to see if I have celiac, and I was just wondering if staining on teeth can be caused by celiac! I have had this unexplained staining on my teeth for years, It goes when I get my teeth polished but it comes back after a while. I dont drink strong tea, or coffee so I was just wondering if any of you heard if it was connected to celiac! Any ideas?

Thanks for any replies! :D

I know celiac can effect the enamel of the teeth. I have little spots on my bottom teeth...not cavities...they say that what I have is related to celiac.

Yes, wearing away of the enamel, and also certain ridges. At the last celiac conference at Columbia Presbyterian in New York they had a dentist there. They had a screening for family members of celiacs optional and if you got tested, they also checked your teeth--looking for a comparison between celiacs and those who had what they thought to be celiac-like dental symptoms.

Some day, I am going to have all of my teeth pulled, then get the whitest dentures I can find! :D

Welcome to the forum, @Jay Heying! What is the reason your doctor is recommending this?

Hello everyone, this my first time to this website and I need some help. I’m 65 years old and have been living with Celiacs for about 15 years. My doctor has suggested I start taking a probiotic named  Integrative Pro-Flora-Concentrae. Has anyone else used this probiotic specifically? If this one isn’t celiac friendly can you recommend another please. Thank you.

If a Celiac person is successful in following a gluten-free diet, they can go into remission.   They may not have a reaction to gluten without a precipitating event like an injury or infection or even emotional or mental stress.   Following a strict gluten-free diet at home, then indulging in gluten containing products abroad without a reaction can be explained by this remission.
