If your child had not been eating gluten, the tests would absolutely be negative.

Since he has been eating gluten, you need to have him retested, you may be destroying his intestine without knowing it.

Dixiebell Contributor

Welcome! The reason his last blood test was negative is because you are following the diet correctly. It means that he is healing and probably not getting any gluten is his diet. This is good.

Please don't feed gluten foods to your son, it eventually start to do damage to him again.

kareng Grand Master

Because you were so careful with his food, he tests negative. Here is an example: if I test you for rat poison, your test will be negative. Great! If you then say, " I tested negative. I will eat Rat poison.". That would be stupid. The first few days you eat the poison, you feel fine. But you are damaging yourself.

Wiith gluten, the damage will take some time to build up. A little damage may not make him sick. The doctor or nurse should have explained this to you.

God has given us the knowledge and the ability to keep your boy from being sick. It is the gluten free diet.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
