Safe Food Williamsburg, Va?

I will be spending the next 7 days in Williamsburg, VA. Can anyone help me with non-chain restaurants that understand gluten-free and know how to handle it?

Since noone answered, I assume no one knows good places in Williamsburg. Let me clue you in to the ones I found:

Word of Mouth (gluten free menu; very good food & service; early manager was Celiac)

Whaling Company (no gluten-free menu, but servers knowledgable and will help you order; the shrimp and scollops dish is devine; normally over pasta but they will do it over rice)

Opus (no gluten-free menu, but savvy and cooperative. Bring money!)

Happy to report I made the whole week in Williamsburg with no reaction.

I never saw your initial post, but wanted to thank you for the update. I live about 45 minutes from Williamsburg and go there every once in a while. I have not eaten at anyplace there while gluten free except for Uno's Chicago Grill. I didn't have any problems with eating gluten free safely there but it was early in my diagnosis and I just got a salad with no croutons to be safe. I have eaten at several other Uno's (not in Williamsburg) since and found most their staff is not very knowledgable, but their chefs and manager seem to be. So the key seems to be making sure your server is aware you are ordering from the gluten free menu and notes gluten free on your order. Asking to talk to the manager or chef about safe preparation doesn't hurt.
