Milk Back Into My Diet?

MNMAC

Recommended Posts

After starting the gluten-free diet a few months ago and not seeing any immediate changes, I stopped drinking milk and avoided dairy. Now a few months later I feel much better, but looking back maybe I should have given the new diet more time to work before eliminating the dairy products. The cost of lactose free milk is very $$, I don't realy have alot of extra money to spend and I could go for a cold glass of 2% milk. How would any of you introduce it back to your stomach without any problems? Or is this just a bad idea this early into my diet? Thanks for any help.

i'd get a small jug and poor a small glass and see what happens.

Whenever I drink a glass, it dosen't hit me until the next day. Sometimes I get the D, and bloating, or stomach aches or rumbles and I get depression really bad that lasts for 2 to 3 days.

Maybe 1 day i'll be able to drink it but not yet. All I can say is try it and see what happens.

I would try it first in something like a capucchino or a latte.....

Does your insurance cover the test for lactose intolerance?

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
