Looking For Good gluten-free Mac N Cheese And Spaghetti O's For Kids

Hi. Since our household went gluten free, I've had to find subs for my kids favorite foods. They've rejected all gluten-free mac n cheese so far. I've tried Annie's gluten-free kind AND Annie's deluxe gluten-free. I've also tried Amy's frozen gluten-free df sf that you microwave. I haven't seen any others? My son also loves the Annie's org O's from pasta, and I can't find a gluten-free equivolent? He needs to eat organic with no chemicals. Hope that you know!!!

Trader Joe's has a boxed gluten-free mac and cheese that tastes identical to the Kraft Dinner type that has gluten in it. Until I found this brand, I thought all of the others were absolutely awful.

The best mac and cheese that I found (before I became allergic to cheese) was making it homemade with Tinkyada pasta. It's certainly not as convienent as a box but the taste is worlds better. That Annies stuff is gross, IMO.

For Spaghetti O's you might try a brand called Organ. I have had this: Open Original Shared Link once and it was decent (my mom bought it for me because I liked spaghetti O's as a child). The sauce did have a similar flavor but the texture of the spaghetti is different from Spaghetti O's.

Easiest mac&cheese recipe ever and my kids devour it-even the super picky boy... They like Annie's just OK and don't like Amy's anymore.

Preheat oven 350

Ancient harvest quinoa pasta, any shape except spaghetti, prepare according to package directions

While the pasta is cooking, in a pot over low-medium heat, combine 1 can evaporated milk and 1# of any cheese, shredded (for quicker melt). I usually use medium cheddar for the kids, but you can use anything. Sometimes I'll just dump in a mixture of whatever's left in the fridge (mmmmmmmm, brie........ ;) )

-Stir until melted.

-Dump the cheese sauce and drained noodles into a baking dish, mix together and bake for about 30 minutes, until the edges are browned.

I honestly live off of Pastariso Dolphin Rice Gluten-Free Macaroni and Cheese....I LOVE IT.

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic.       Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce. Something is making my pain so much worse I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs. Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever...

      We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
