Need Help With My Daughter's Sore Throat

My daughter tested negative for Celiacs, but I believe she is gluten-intolerant. We've had her on a gluten free diet since last February and for a long time, most of her stomach aches, leg cramps and diarrhea went away. However, over the past two months, the stomach aches have started coming back along with a constant sore throat. I did more research and have found that many people are also casein and soy intolerant, so I'm taking her off of those, but I can't find anything about these sensitivities causing a sore throat. Does anyone have any experience with that? Also, what type of doctor do you recommend seeing for help with diagnosing casein intolerance? Our pediatrician doesn't seem to know a thing about food intolerances. Would a dietician be best or a gastrointestinal specialist?

My daughter has Celiac and Eosinophilic Esophagitus.

Is her voice hoarse? Swollen tonsils? Back of throat covered with cream speckles? Bad breath? Dark cricles under the eyes? GERD symptoms? Constant headache? Along with a stomach ache with "D" and or vomitting?

You should have been to a pediatric gastroenterologist for for Celiac testing. Have you been in for allergy testing? A ped. ENT?

Have you checked to see if she has any reflux? The sore throat could be a burning from the reflux. There are a number of over the counter products that you could check for a couple of weeks to see if it would help.

Good luck :)

reflux will do it easily. Honey helps sooth throats btw, try that to help it :)

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
