Kwylee, Yes I was serious and did not post this as a joke. I discovered this muscle test a few years back when I was going to doctor for chelation IV therapy for what I discovered as mercury poisoning from amalgam fillings. The mercury poison is what triggered my Celiac symptoms into full gear. At that time he checked my whole body and hinted that I may be having neuro issues, but didn

It sounds like you used the Bio-Set method...

I'm told these intolerances are to be gone forever once the treatment is completed. But $900.00 is absurd... This is what I mean by NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE practitioners, they are like fast buck artist who run with the cash...the most I was ever charged was $50.00... Now I can say that I was cleared of nightshade veggies with great success as they caused me major problems... I go once a year for a treatment but honestly don't have issues with nightshades since the first treatment. But I also was having problems with corn which I hadn't had problems with. When I went to the practitioner for my follow-up after the first year I made NO mention I was having any problems.. He did the testing & asked me about corn as it showed up. He wanted to know how much corn I was eating on a daily basis.. I laughed & said well you know I have celiac so corn is a major in my lifestyle.... BUt it was summer & we had been eating fresh corn every night for supper, so good & so little time to enjoy fresh corn on the cobb. I was eating at least two ears nightly maybe three some nights....did I say how much we love fresh corn!!!! But the practitioner told me to stop that at once as it was causing me issues which I already knew but didn't bother to tell him... For me that was a simple test because I knew I was eating to much corn.

I also believe that some issues require more than one visit....our bodies are powerful ,& unique so we all need to learn & listen to what our bodies are telling us..Being in tune with ones self is an amazing feat... I'm overwhelmed everyday by the human body & what it can do for its self....

mind,body , spirit........

Keeping an open mind -----.. neither western medicine no alternative medicine will work wihtout an open mind....I feel I'm a walking testament to that years ago I was DX"D with ALS by western medicine, by the top notch doctors at a major hospital....I've lived well beyound the life of an ALS patient.. I went gluten-free & after time my symptoms became tolerable & it has been over nine years ago... Talk about blessings......................much of my journey has been modern medicine & no drugs but alternative vits& mins,& clean eating.....

Tom2, I have used muscle testing too. In fact, whenever I go to my naturapath for my children she does muscle testing to make sure the homeopathic she's giving them will work. Since my little guy can't take any OTC medications at all without severe reactions, this method has, so far, worked well for us. I'm not sure I believe in it 100% but I certainly do see the merits of alternative medicines and practices.

This is intriguing but I'd hate for anyone to do this thinking that they may be able to go back to eating gluten.

And I guess I should add the $900 was to clear every group I showed intolerance to (they said over 10 - quite a sick puppy) and included some flat fee that I don't recall, but yep, pretty steep. I still can't get over that muscle testing thing - the feeling like you can't hold up your arm even though you're VERY determined to do so. I never would have believed it if I hadn't tried it for myself.

I agree but I never had a practitioner tell me I could eat gluten in fact they told me up front that it would not clear an autoimmune disorder... SO I guess that is where I would say QUACK!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it is amazing that pour bodies can tell us something...if only we would listen we could save ourselves alot of grief.......

My general rule for anything is if I will only believe in something if I can understand it.

I've not looked into this and don't plan to, whilst very skeptical on face value (which should be everyone's default position with all treatments and medical doctrine, be that established western medicine or alternative), in any case I really doubt it will tell me anything I don't already know.

I still believe exclusion diets achieve what this does and I don't understand how this helps if you have more than one intolerance given it's binary yay or nae result output.

My brother has hypnotized a couple people to the point of allowing them to go through surgery without pain. He said it takes a long time to get a person to that level so it's something that has to be planned for.

I was working for a neuropsychiatrist who was experimenting with hypnosis. I had an upcoming procedure for removal of a mole on my wrist, and agreed to be a subject. It was amazing - I felt absolutely nothing, watched the whole ething :o It was done with a post-hypnotic suggestion - "When you see "x" your arm will go numb".

I have used alternative practioners quite a bit in my life, especiallly when regular western medicine fails.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

Thankyou so much for your words. Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
