One of my co-workers presented me with Michael Season's Baked Cheddar Cheese Curls for Christmas, along with a couple of new SF DF chocolate bars & rice crackers as a holdiday gift.

I want to buy a truckload of those Cheese Curls! They are outrageously good, and awesome on top of soup! They taste good and have a good crunch, they're really, really good.

She left the receipt in the gift bag. They were $2.99 at Whole Foods. I've never seen them in my local stores.

yes, we love these but you can't just eat one!.. They have been around for a long while, they have chips too...If you like a bit of zing in a snack food try El's.. They remind me of the pub mix.. excellent too....

:DThey're so good I'm going to tell DP all I want for Christmas is Cheddar Cheese Curls by Michaels. (As I'm finishing off the bag from the present I was supposed to open on Christmas.)

Not a bad price at the A. store, either!

Our Whole Foods carries them, buy a case & save the 10%...I think they are also on the big river " A" store online...

OOH! OOH! Could you list the ingredients? My local healthfood store carries their potato chips. Maybe if there's no corn in these I could eat them. If so, I'll see if they can them in.

I had no problem with corn shortly after going gluten-free, then had a big problem with corn (and dairy) but for the moment I'm good to go on both. I hate challenges when they fail, but I waited a year to try corn, so I'm on a corn wagon. I bought 4 bags of them as we were passing through a city with a WF. If I'd read your post, I'd have bought a case of them!

mamaw Community Regular

Yes, it is the only way I buy gluten-free things by the case.It is about the only way to save big.....I try not to buy these buy the case because as I said you can't just eat one....Addictive....I get issues from to much corn once in awhile & I slack off for awhile... This happens alot in the summer months when fresh corn is available...

bartfull Rising Star

Wow. Do you really think it's possible I could go back to eating corn again someday? I have my doubts because it seems that I'm more sensitive to corn than any of my other "poisons". I even got sick from one of the new corn based plastic bottles. I'm at the point where I was laughing at myself last night - While reading the paper I noticed an ad that had a picture of corn on it, and without realizing I had done it, I moved my hand to the top of the page because I didn't want to TOUCH it!:lol:

corn is an allergyso it is treatable... I just watch my intake of corn& soy but of course you may need to watch closer but yes allergies are treatable...I do the natural holistic appraoch for allergies but others go for allergy shots..

I didn't poke positive on allergy testing, but corn gave my digestive system a good whack and whammy after going gluten-free.

I waited a year to try corn again because I'm a wussy about being sick. Maybe I should have tried it earlier, but I'm not going to dwell on that.

I waited three years before I ate ice cream

I tried lemons after a year and no go. I am able to tolerate some potato starch in baked goods now - still not game to try potatoes. Will try some home-grown tomato this summer

Good luck with your tomato challenge this summer, Mushroom. If it's a go, that would add a world of good to your menu! I'm not big on fresh tomatos, but I love those little yellow pear shaped heirloom or nice sun ripened cherry tomatos.

It's funny, I've got so used to my BLA sandwiches I don't know if I want to go back to BLT's or BLATs

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️

Yeah, that sounds super familiar. When inflammation levels are high — especially at the start of changing your diet — the body often develops a fructose and lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you
