Brain Fog

Well, I have finally figured out what brain fog is :P . I have been unable to concentrate, find the right words, and pretty much finish an entire sentence. I was glutenized yesterday and am not sure whether it's from that. I'm also not sure I'm getting all the necessary nutrients (just diagnosed). How do you make brain fog go away?

Hi, I know I sure can sympathize. I haven't found anything that helps it go away faster. When it happens I make sure I take my gluten-free mega-vitamins and have 1 more cup of coffee than usual. Hopefully someone out there may know of something that helps more. It does go away fairly quickly for us, within a day or so, and I hope it does for you too. Hang in there and don't be too hard on yourself todays not the day to work on your masters thesis. :) ,

Hey Ravenwoodglass,

What gluten-free mega vitamin do you take?

The brain fog was absolutely crippling for me. The only thing you can do is be extra careful about what you eat and stay as healthy as possible. Get some rest and take care of yourself is about all you can do.

I take 'Country Life' adult chewables and also Maxi-hair by the same company. I get them at a health food store. If you can't find that particular brand check the fine print on any good vitamin. I try to get lots of the B vitamins, 12 in particular because I deal with the ataxia and tingly hands when I get 'got'.

Thank you. I must have misinterpreted a study or something. Thank you for the clarification. Much appreciated. Almost three years into my celiac diagnosis and I'm still learning new things.

I wasn’t clear, glucagon and gadolinium were intravenous. I drank about 5 cups of the prep during 45 minutes. I feel very tired now, probably partly because I was nervous, and partly because I had to fast for 6 hours beforehand and wasn’t very hungry when I got home.

That seems at lot of solution to have put threw you when you already have bowel issues , I will phone them tomorrow because it's sorbitol I have reactions too, thankyou for the input how do you feel now ? I'm not sure I can keep still for that long with my back issues either unfortunately I didn't know it could take that long 😕

The solution I had to drink contained sorbitol and mannitol. I was in the MRI, lying on my back, for about 40 minutes. I was given glucagon partway through, and a gadolinium contrast agent. After I got home there was some diarrhea from the prep solution.
