Is Toasting Bread Time Consuming?

Our toaster takes forever, too.

But 22 minutes?

Maybe that -55 below weather you live in is causing a toaster malfunction??

Yes - I know it may be a bit odd to time it but curiosity got the best of me. Will time how long it takes my homemade baguette to toast up tomorrow!

Just think of what you can do in 22 minutes. You can make a delicious meal, go for a walk, make a phone call to your internet provider (no, wait - that takes 202 minutes), read 1/10 of a book...

So here I am extending the thread on how long it takes to toast gluten free bread I made bread yesterday with a different mix than usual. It turned out light and fluffy and when I toasted it last night it toasted to perfection at the first go! My toaster settings go to 6 and I toasted it at 3! Who could I share this news with if it wasn't for this forum.
