Hi everyone. I have been doing as much research as possible since being diagnosed in December 2011. I think i have most foods covered now. I was using herbel essence shampoo but realized it definitely may not be gluten free, especially since my hair has been falling out in chunks. Im going to switch to garnier. Does anyone know if their entire line is gluten free?

Also what do you ladies do when you want to get your hair done? my salon told me they will not get gluten free products and i can bring my own but what about getting your hair colored?

Also can anyone recommend gluten free body lotion, sunscreen and tanning lotion to wear at the beach? I just want to have the basics covered since we are going on vacation soon. I know neotrogena has gluten-free products but for some reason my skin is irritated by it and burns when used.

Thank You!

AFAIK all the Garneir hair products are safe but read the labels. They will label clearly. I just bring my own shampoo and conditioner with me along with any styling aids I might need. When I colored my hair I also used their haircoloring. Perhaps you could bring some with you and your stylist could use that. If you do highlights or lowlights get two shades.

I use and love Andalou products (lotion, shampoo, facial cleansers, etc.) I order it off their website -- shipping is not cheap but once you place your first order they'll send you emails notices of sales, etc. When they have a special with free shipping I try to stock up!

I've also used the Neutrogena Naturals line successfully.

I had been using aubrey oranics for a while before all of this...and it looks like I might have to find a new brand. Wah. Their gpb is gluten free, so ill probably stick with that, but a couple of my other favorites - honeysuckle rose & white camellia are made with wheat germ oil. ...I only use natural products on my hair. No chemicals, no silicones/plastics, no sulfates, no alcohol etc. it seems that recently ao has been using alcohol in more of their products...so I probably woulda switched whether it had to do with gluten/wheat or not. Hm...maybe ill whip my own conditioner up when I want to.

Edit: I lied the gpb also has wheat germ oil. I just looked at one of my bottles.

The last time I checked, Banana Boat was safe, although I haven't heard the latest update.

I use a lot of Desert Essence products. Their "Organics" line is completely gluten free.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
