I dont see my dr until the 19th for my follow up (had an Endo Fri) but I dont want to wait to start taking vitamins.

Today, I got a multivitamin and Culterelle Probiotics. I dont know if there is anything else I should be taking..how do I know how much is enough?

Did you have any other vitamin deficiencies?

Did you have any other vitamin deficiencies?

That I know of? Iron and B12..that is what my primary told me a month ago. I have since had more blood drawn to look for deficiencies but I dont see that dr until the 19th. i thought they would call me with my blood results but I suppose that is the whole reason for the appointment. :( I hate waiting. It bothers me that Ok..I dont feel good. The solution for this problem is diet..so why do I need to wait 2 weeks..why not do it now...all my testing is done, and now I am at the mercy of a Dr and her schedule? No thanks, if that is all it is, waiting for her to tell me what vitamins then Id rather take it into my own hands now if I can.

What advice were you given re: iron supps and B-12?

amounts to supp, I mean? They told you they were low, so what amount should you supplement?

and P.S. Iron supps can cause major C, just so you know. You may need to take fiber in (like flaxseed meal or psyllium and LOTS of H20)

to keep things moving.

I just got an iron supp, called Easy Iron by Country Life, someone else makes a good one, Solgar- called Gentle Iron. They use iron bisglycinate, which is easy on the GI tract and non constipating. Both are in a vegetable capsule, which is vital to me beacuse I cannot swallow a huge iron caplet, I would never take them! Also, take them with vitamin C, like orange juice or fruit. It will help you absorb the iron.

If you want something really tolerable, you could try the Floradix liquid but it is pricy!

I was low on folate, B12 and iron- according to my dr, not low on vitamin D (36) but I believe that to be low, so I also take 5000 units of vitamin D daily, even in the sunshine. I started taking Country Life coenzyme B complex in addition to the iron, and my vitamin D.

I get my A, C, etc via fruits and veggies.

I also take probiotics, and have just ordered omega 3's.

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?
    • Francis M
We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
