Acronyms

I'm not as quick of a thinker as I once was so go easy on me

I have been having problems decoding acronyms that posters use on the forum.

Examples: OP - I thought it was a cable channel.

DD - darling daughter? Ha, mine does not fit that.

SIL - BIL - seem to go together, in-laws?

And there are many more, WNL, SCD etc. I'm clueless.

Is there a list of these definitions somewhere?

Thanks and be well.

I'm not quite an old pro yet, but here's a few I can think of that are common:

CC-- Cross Contamination

D-- Diarrhea

C-- Constipation

BM-- Bowel Movement

Dx-- Diagnosis

DD-- Dear Daughter

DS-- Dear Son

DH-- Dear Husband or Dermatitis Herpetiformis

G F -- Gluten Free

CF-- Casein Free

DF-- Dairy Free

SF-- Soy Free

Hope this helps!

-Sarah

To which I'll add, SIL, BIL, MIL & FIL refer to sister-in-law, etc.

SCD: Specific Carbohydrate Diet

OP: Original Poster (the member who initiated the topic)

WNL: Within Normal Limits

Here's another one that I don't think has ever been used here, but perhaps should: SID=stupid incompetent doctor.
