and when Sylvia says this to me : "Pffft!"

it makes me laugh and I know she is really saying "Psshaw" or piffle!

Now really, does ANYone still say Psshaw!!??

The one that got me for a while was KWIM? :D I guess it's better than "you know"...... one of my pet peeves - NO, I don't.

or "piffle" for that matter ?

arrgh!! on the "you know what I mean?" <_<

I have a relative who punctuates every sentence with this ---and my sister and I mouth to each other "no we don't" --because she never really says anything. No full sentences whatsoever.

In 30 years, I still have no clue what this woman is talking about.

and FWIW ...to the OP, we have not really gone OT, as we are trying to amuse you during your difficult gluten challenge. ;)

Hey, I'm stumped again

Kite with insufficient momentum?

Kid with immature Mom?

Koalas wading in marsh?

something to do with a kangaroo or kazoo?

IMO (in my opinion) we are certainly OT (off topic) - hopefully making the OP (original poster) :D while laughing at ourselves.

IrishHeart Veteran

uh oh ...well, now 3 of us are involved with these hijinks and shenanigans and hooliganism...and so, we should probably stop.

IMHO, FWIW, KWIM? so, let's KIO!

poor Kiki. She must think we're OOOH.(out of our heads) I may have made that last one up.

but, definitely do not lick the toaster oven handle.

I am laughing! And I'm up on keeping up... except the FWIW and KWIM...

Most of us (silently) agree, but do what you have to do and we can be your cheerleaders. :)

Cool. I have cheerleaders!

(Now, what to poison myself with for dinner tonight.)

Make a "bucket list" of your favorite gluten containing foods - I forgot to add glazed old fashioned donuts to my list while I was being diagnosed - I hadn't had a donut like that for quite a while prior to dx and I really don't miss gluten very often, but boy does that image of a freshly made glazed old fashioned jump into my head at the strangest times

That's a good idea. I am getting fatter by the day though because I am only eating the gluten at night, and normally my big meal is lunch.

Honestly, if I could have one meal again (from "my other life") pre-DX...it would involve beef wellington and a pastry crust or something with phyllo dough. Because there is no way to re-create that--not that I have found anyway.

But everything else can be done gluten-free, I promise you! We have an in-house chef who will help you : love2travel.

Otherwise, I do not miss poison at all.

okay, good night and I say this with a bit of mixed emotions because I know it's making you feel icky..., "enjoy dinner".

well, I can do the jump, (sorta) but SKI is going to have to do the split.

OMG, between the 3 of us, you've got yourself ...A cheerleader.

Yowzers, if you can perform a multi-quote (something I still have yet to figure out after 2 years), then your brain frogs are laying low!

Hang tough, kid.

Erm, hit the "multiquote" button in the bottom right of each post you want to quote. Then when you are ready hit the "Add Reply " button at the bottom of the thread. Tis' easy-sleaszy.

Pfftt!! ala Bill the dead cat? Doonsebury star?

Well, Pffft! to that! :D

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
