Good Alternative For A Wheat Bag?

Hi all,

It's been really really really cold here the last few weeks so I've been taking a microwavable heating bag to bed with me. I was also feeling a tad bit off during that time and then my hubby pointed out that my microwaveable bag is a wheat bag. LOL I stopped using it about a week ago and I feel really good now... I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but I seem to feel better (if not colder) without it so I won't use it again. And no I was not chewing on the bag in my sleep. ;) LOL

Anyway, It's still way too close to -30C for me to sleep comfortably so I want another heating bag! Any ideas for a good alternative to a wheat bag? I really don't like hot water bottles, and I don't trust electric heating pads while I sleep, so any ideas would be welcome because I'm sure we still have a few more weeks of cold snaps to expect this winter.

Thanks!

Oops. Thanks. I feel a bit foolish for missing that...

Naw...Threads fall off the main screen after a few days of no answers. Filling one with cheap rice works well if you just want it to stay in one place as they are heavy. My boys liked to put their legs on top of them in bed when they had " growing pains". I would hear the microwave" Bing" in the middle of the night.

I got an email this morning from Costco and the first thing that jumped out at me was microwavable stuffed animals and I thought of you. It says something about how they're for kids, but whatever. I think I may just get one for myself! I just have to decide between a bunny and a hippo. I guess giraffes make poor heat packs with their long necks.

I'm going to look for that! Does it say what they are filled with? Not really worried about the filling but ...curious.

If these are the same, it's corn (bottom of the page).

That's them! Aren't they stinkin adorable? When you feel like hell and need a heating pack, I don't care how old you are, having an animal instead of a boring old bag will be good for the soul. :)

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
