I am having a liver issue here..bilirubin and last night urobilinogen after a possible gluten or salicylic acid episode starting on the 29th of december. I have no appetite but i'm forcing myself to eat. I have been on a very limited diet..i dunno for sure if my problem is salicylic acid with what happened and i feel i need to go on the rotation diet to heal myself properly as well as find a probiotic. What the heck do i do? I'm finding it hard to find foods to even fill up my day unless i eat a lot of the same thing...let alone a rotation diet O_O thoughts?

Are you sure about your intolerances? I am low level intolerant by Elisa test to 49/60 things I am eating. I still can eat each of them and am doing really well on a rotational diet. Make sure nothing you are getting is cross contaminated with gluten. It is so confusing at first to know what exactly is going on. From my test I also learned 11 foods that I was eating that I was making no antibodies for. These I do break rotation somewhat with. You can't have a rounded diet without protein, fat, and veges. I can maybe show you my rotation diet, but you can't have one like it with only 6 items.

Protein foods : Fish, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, bison, poached eggs, yougurt, or cheese

Veges: (brocolli, cauliflower, , collard greens, kale, and brussel sprouts), ,(legumes, string beans, lentils, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, carob, peas, white beans) (sweet potato, carrots, squash, zucchini, celery, fennel bulb ) (beets, swiss chard, spinach)

My "flours" Buckwheat ground by me (I haven't found storebought not cc) walnut, hazlenut, pecan, macedemia, Nut flour, (ground in blender and put through a sifter, ) Almond flour, coconut flour.

fruits apple, banana, mango, papaya, kiwi, cranberry, blackberry, pears, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, oranges, peaches, grapefruit, grapes, apricot, plums, figs, dates, cherry (sweet and tart), watermelon, cantelope, avacado, tomato, rhubarb, pineapple there may be others to try at the store. Try a new one, you are not likely to have antibodies to it. Check its family though.

Oils (ghee) (coconut oil) (Olive oil)

For each meal I have 1 protein, l or more veggies, 1 flour and one oil. Sometimes I have a small amount of fruit. If I make a little pancake I spread a couple of bites of fruit on it for flavor. YUM

You may not tolerate some of them, but if you only eat it every forth day, perhaps you can get by with it like I do. Your body sure needs to rest. When I started my diet, I felt better in four days. I have not relapsed yet, even when I got diarrhea from something I ate. I mean my foggy fatigue stayed away, and I could live with the other for a short time.

I hope this will help you, or someone. I do hope that if you really feel you are so limited in your diet that you will find help, or try one of the really limited diets others are on like paleo. I don't know what else. Either that or I hope you find a health practioner that can help you identify more foods you can eat, or how to get out of your food crises. I felt I needed that until recently. AFter I did the rotational diet, supplements, and pancreatic enymes I feel better. I am coming down with a cold now, and I hope I will lick it much faster than my cold that was before the changes I recently made.

Problem is salicylic acid limits the diet...GREATLY. More so than gluten. Can't eat half of those lists. Not having dairy. Coconut and Olive oil are high, A lot of the veggies are high all fruits except perhaps pears are ok...this is really becoming a burden. I'm pretty sure it's more than likely salicylic acid because my stomach upset started from sniffing peppermint and ginger young living essential oils on my husbands aunt's suggestion and turns out they are high in sals. I've done a urine test and my bilirubin went way up again...so frustrated :(

I answered this in reply to your PM, but I will post here as well.

You can try the Failsafe Diet.

of course, it goes without saying, but you have to eliminate the gluten grains, too on that list!

Works very well for taking out any potential foods or additives that may be bothering you.

I know you are very anxious to get well, as I once was too

but you really, really have to try and calm down about what

you think are "potential" issues making you sick. You simply cannot get glutened or sick from food aromas if someone is cooking

in your house (as you asked on another thread)

but you could well have felt sick after sniffing oils IF you have a chemical sensitivity.

An environmental allergist can diagnose this problem.

Just try it for a month. Take walks. Get some fresh air.

Hope this helps.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️
