  2. Hi Monica- This is my primary symptom when I've been glutened. I just feel like I'm gonna lose my cookies (and I usually do). i have reflux too so I think that plays into it as well. Honestly, you've got to STOP using shampoo with wheat in it. There are tons of brands without gluten. In my shower right now I have Neutrogena shampoo and conditioner with...
  3. Me????????? Get excited? Can I help it if I want you to fall madly in love and be swept away by a muscular, outdoorsy man to a cabin the mountains where you live appily-ever-after (and I can come visit!)
  4. You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!! Much wubbing For my birthday, I'm eating worm pie Actually, I shared birthday party #1 with my 3 year old niece. We had a Disney Princess party. I think I was Snow White. She was CLEARLY the Little Mermaid.. But the REAL party starts in about 5 minutes. One the guest list: Trampolines Cosmos Spanking...
  5. Niki and Kaycee- I'm so sorry about Felix and Mintie. It's so hard to lose a fur friend. I had my first cat for 16 years...her name was Popcorn. And when she passed, we all lost a family member. You could carry her around like a handbag too and she'd purr away. It wasn't LIKE losing a family member, it WAS losing a member of your family. My hugs...
  6. Hi Liz- Honestly, I've NEVER met a pit bull I didn't like! That video was heart wrenching but I think it's all true. Like they say, there are no bad dogs, only bad owners. My sister has a 4 year old, UNFIXED purebred doberman. When she walks him, people are afraid. Some will literally cross the street to avoid them. But he's just a BIG baby! He thinks...
  7. This is exactly how I feel. I just had an Er doc who I saw for my hernia give me Enulose (spelling?) because I hadn't gone to the bathroom in 10 days! I was so bloated and C'ed I thought I was going to DIE! And when I get C it makes everything feel so much worse. I see my celiac GI next week so I'm going to talk to her aboout this. It's hideous! ...
  8. That is SO cute (really!). Yes- talking to someone was unbelievably emotional. Imagine if we ALL got together in a room. God- we would laugh, cry. I can't even imagine how intense it would be! Rachel- as far as whether or nor Fibromyalgia is real, I'm not sure what I believe. I think that there IS a definition of it. If I remember correctly the...
  9. wow Lisa- That's a LOT! You deserve to cry if you want. I'd be blithering myself. As fasr as school goes (you're in college, right? Well, even if you're not I still feel the same). Tough titties for your teachers. I teach (high school and now college) and it really makes me angry when teachers don't understand extenuating circumstances. I had one professor...

  14. Yippeeee! You deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I was EXTREMELY lactose intolerant before I went gluten-free. I am HAPPY to report I can now tolerate lactose in moderate amounts. But somehow in all this I realized I am legume intolerant (peanuts, soy and most beans). Don't really care much about that but I REALLY miss Reese's penaut butter cups Maybe some day.
  16. Since when does chili even require flour? Grrrrrr I like karen's answer. I think you should become the QUEEN of gluten free entertaining and not invite her!
  17. Anise- I said it that way because last night I was too tired to elaborate. I'd be happy to share with you. Basically, when my blood work came back "borderline" I decided to go gluten-free (didn't know you had to be ON gluten for the endoscopy). So by the time I got to GI #2 who decided to do the biopsy, I had to do a gluten challenge after being gluten free...
  18. That is really LAME. Why would you do that? Would someone do that with a glass of wine to an alcoholic? NO. I'd be really mad. Actually, I am mad for you And I'm sorry. maybe it will get better. On the bright side, I had a student tell me tonight his grandfather, who is 80, was just diagnosed so his daughters have begun brewing him gluten-free...
  19. In my opinion, if Enterolab was positive and I had to pay that much money for a biopsy, I'd go gluten-free. My bloodwork was borderline positive, I regret my endoscopy (I can elaborate later if you want but it was negative) and gluten DEFINITELY causes mood symptoms in me and MANY of us on the board. In some cases, people have no GI symptoms at all and have...
  20. I've eaten them several times in the past few weeks because I am working late and because there are no gluten ingredients listed on the label and it doesn't have their warning about the facility processing wheat, etc. I have two questions (well, maybe 3): 1. Do they contain gluten? 2. The ingredients list pimentos which are supposedly a pepper. Is there...
  21. From my uncle, in is early 70's. He's also my godafther.... can you believe he sends me this stuff. ROTFLMAO Words of Wisdom Sometimes, when I look at my children, I say to myself ~~"Lillian, you should have remained a virgin." > - Lillian Carter (mother of Jimmy Carter) I had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased...
  22. DingoGirl- Damn, I just read this. I knew that you had a lot going on but I didn't realize the extent. Just a cyber hug. Wish I could do more. You SHOULD BE PROUD that you graduated (hey 6 years is normal in california I went to SDSU for a semester and they all were on the 6 year plan) . It doesn't matter how long it took- just that you got up every morning...
  23. This is OBSCENE. What an arse... I am SO SO SO sorry that you had to go through this. What a jerk! Talk about the god complex. I have to be honest, every male GI I've ever met has been the same way. I now have a FEMALE GI and it has made ALL the difference in the world. Evie- Sweetie, I had C Diff over the summer and it was miserable. I'm so sorry...
  24. ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Things that make you go hmmm.....
