ARCHIVED Some Help From Thyroid People
nutralady2001 replied to wschmucks's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
TSH too high............. the range for TSH is now 0.3-3.00 has been for a few years. Anything over 2.00 is worthy of investigation. People w/o thyroid disease have a TSH around 1.50 Free T3 far too low barely above the bottom of the range Free T4 too low as well. It's a storage hormone that converts to FT3 It's an idea to have antibodies done for Hashimoto... -
ARCHIVED Some Help From Thyroid People
nutralady2001 replied to wschmucks's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
With thyroid problems you need FREE T3 and FREE T4 along with TSH. Also TgAb and TPO antibodies for Hashimoto's Disease Normal is a cycle on a washing machine. A TSH over 2.00 is usually an indicator things aren't right FT3 in the top 1/3 of the range is where people feel well, in fact a lot of people feel well with it at the top of the range, FT4... -

nutralady2001 replied to latteda's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I was never tested for anything, told I had "eczema" was sure now it was DH, this was early '60's, late '60's told I had "mucous colitis" had had problems from the late'50's , then a few years later "IBS" then this stuck for the next umpteen years until I had an endoscopy/colonoscoy in 2007 because I was anaemic and a bowel screening showed blood in both... -

ARCHIVED Food Labeling
nutralady2001 replied to Sarah J.'s topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications

ARCHIVED Is It Really Ibs?
nutralady2001 replied to ninabear's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I started having problems as a child in the '50's. By the time I was in college in the last '60's I was diagnosed with "mucous colitis" I was so sick my last year I couldn't get permanency my first year teaching and had to have another medical at the end of it before they granted me permanent status. Fast forward a few years and I was given the "IBS" tag... -
ARCHIVED Australians And New Zealanders Hellooooooo :)
nutralady2001 replied to Aussie Peg's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Probably not year after year of presenting with symptoms and not one of them suggested any diagnostic testing .Even my diagnosis was "accidental" as I had the scopes because I was severely anaemic and a bowel screening showed blood in both upper and lower GI tracts -
ARCHIVED Celiac Treatment Research
nutralady2001 replied to Mollifier's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Australia has the strictest guidelines in the world I believe. To qualify as gluten free a food must have less than 5 ppm gluten I'm not excited sorry....................... another vaccine pumped in to the body and it will be years before it comes to fruition. Much easier to stay gluten free -
