  1. I wouldn't and didn't. I too went on the gluten-free diet before any testing was done. I will not go back to eating gluten ever, I react strongly to accidents and that is enough proof for me. Not to mention when first going on gluten-free I felt better in 3 days. Now you could find a doctor who knows about Celiac and Gluten Intolerance and he/she...
  2. Oh thank you, that is much better.
  3. I read the instructions on that cake recipe and don't see flour used in it at all. Maybe I missed it though. I'm going to give it a try.
  4. Thought I would add (in case you don't want to make your own ) that Cattle Boyz (a Canadian company ) makes a wonderful gluten free BBQ sauce. Open Original Shared Link
  5. Yes, I love this show. Going to miss it for a bit since there is no new one for a while. But the show is awesome and I know what you mean by cliffhanger, wow.
  6. I drink Twinings and Stash Teas with no problems. I checked both the websites and Stash has on their site that they are gluten free. I can't find anything about it on Twinings site. Hope that helps.
  7. I believe you can get the toaster bags through Kinnikinick.
  8. Thanks, looks like a great site.
  9. I found out last year so I was 42 (still am) but I wasn't officialy diagnosed. (Sorry didn't notice this was a teen only one, oops. )
  10. Let's see if I can remember, I had problems with constipation and I think it was probably a month or more before they eased up. I wasn't strict though and was still getting some gluten in my diet, boy I learned it hides in a lot of places after I came to this board. Now that said, everyone is different and everybody reacts differently but to really receive...
  11. Me too, haven't had one yet but likely will today. It took me a while to figure out what I was re-acting too.
  12. I found the Lundberg brand at Safeway. That should be great. Thanks so much.
  13. Thank you, I don't have a Save on or a Planet Organic near me. I'll try to find the Lundberg brand or get out to one of those stores in the city.
  14. Is there a safe brand out there that tastes okay? I have been eating them with Cream Cheese and I'm sure I got glutened. It's the only thing I can think that could be contaminated. They are Safeway brand (Canada). Also what about the cream cheese? I think it is safe, maybe I missed something. It is Philly spreadable , raspberry flavor. Thanks...
  15. This is the first book I've bought and I thought it was very good. I didn't know it was new, it just looked good, I would recommend it.
  16. I voted, self diagnosed here. Found out through a message board where someone was talking about their celiac and their symptoms which sounded just like mine. A little search on Google lead me here and a few other places. Did some reading, went gluten free, 3 days later no symptoms. Challenged after a month or so, yup, can't do gluten. So glad to find...
  17. Happy New Year. Hope it is a great and gluten free one.
  18. I have this book ~ Open Original Shared Link and the author makes a case for gluten sensitivity before celiac. It's a good book you might want to see if your library has it or you might want to buy it. Sensitive or celiac a gluten free diet is a must.
  19. Okay, here is what I've done (and please be patient with me and don't slam me) I went back to eating Kelloggs Corn Flakes. Simply because I was in way too much pain and discomfort from the other stuff, and yes I tried another brand, same problem. I'm back to the Kelloggs and am not having the pain or discomfort. After Christmas I might try to find...
  20. Have you tried Vegsource, they might have good ideas for you. Open Original Shared Link
  21. Okay, thank you all, I'll try another brand. I won't do rice because for some reason it doesn't fill me up enough and I get hungry really quickly, then my hypoglycemia is trigured. Corn products fill me up more and I don't seem to get that drop. I'll see what I can get tomorrow to replace these Corn Flakes but I don't remember there being much else...
  22. Let me see if I can clarify. I was eating Kelloggs Corn Flakes, they have malt flavoring, but I wasn't having any problem eating these. But because I've learned that malt means they have gluten I've switched to a gluten free brand. The brand is Nature's Path, they are organic and say gluten free on the front of the package. The ingredients are organic...
  23. I was better off eating Kelloggs Corn Flakes. I don't get that? Any ideas?
  24. I was looking at Heinz baby cereals today (looking for a cream of rice that I can't find). Heinz listed malt flavoring on their ingredients.
