  1. Sounds delicious. What size Cream cheese? 3 oz. or 8 oz.?
  2. I would be mad too. Can you do cottonseed oil? BetterMade potato chips only use cottonseed oil. They are actually my favorite.
  3. I know that others have written Target about a gluten free list. I just did and this was the response that I got:Subject: Gluten Content Inquiry All headers Dear Wendy Martin, Thanks for your inquiry about the gluten content of our Archer Farms products. Helping to ensure the health and safety of guests and their families is our number one priority...
  4. The hard part of the menopause for me is I have MRKH. I was born without a uterus, so have never had a period. I had an ovary removed as an infant. The one I have does still ovulate. It just did a couple of days ago. I should have my hormone levels checked and see where I'm at. I meant to ask him the last time I was in there and forgot.
  5. Thanks for the ideas. I'm always looking for something new to try. You've helped me get the wheels turning. I had done a quick google but didn't find too much. I also just remembered I have a Thai cookbook that could be helpful.
  6. I found them at the grocery store. Any ideas of what to do with Spring Roll Skins?
  7. Same here I wondered what was going on.
  8. I used to always get bronchitis as a child and also as an adult. I only went gluten free the beginning of the year. I do have asthma which I take Singulair for. I took estradiol because my gynecologist didn't want me to go into menopause. I quit taking it in March, when I found out they couldn't guarantee that it was gluten free. I didn't have side effects...
  9. It sure sounds like you could have celiac also. It is genetic, so your son got it from somewhere. If you haven't been gluten free yourself, you could try the blood test. It can have a false negative, but not a false positive. I am in the United States, so I don't know about the entereo lab, I'm sure you could always mail for it.
  10. It seems like my hot flashes come whenever they feel like it. I was taking estradiol until March. I stopped and the flashes didn't happen until this last month. I also take synthroid for my thyroid. My levels didn't change at all since going gluten free. It is frustrating that is for sure.
  11. I've never thought of asthma causing hot flashes. I am in the same boat, but I have gotten better since going gluten free. I do still take Singulair for asthma. I do sometimes have to use my rescue inhaler, but not as often now. I am back to hot flashes, but am thinking they could be from menopause now. I am 52. The flashes did go away when I went...
  12. I have see the lists of the allergy groups. My doctor gave me copies so I could choose want I wanted to be tested for. I kept looking at it and couldn't decide. I kind of know already. The ragweed/melon I know for sure. I still haven't pursued it any farther. It's enought trying to avoid gluten.
  13. I was trying to reply and did something wrong. Thank you for posting the Hot Fudge Cake recipe. I was just thinking about a recipe like that. I used to make it before going gluten free. I can't wait to try it. Wendy
  14. I just wondered since this is such a large group, if anyone else has MRKH? Celiac is 1 in 133 and you complain about doctors. When it is 1 in 5000, you are a guinea pig for most. When I read the post are support groups important to you? It made me think that has what has helped me through so much in the last year and a half. This group helped me to see...
  15. I went gluten free the beginning of the year even though I did have a negative blood test. I have a little sister that was diagnosed at a year old. There was an uncle in the family also diagnosed. I do believe that it is possible that both of my parents could have had it. My Dad was always in the bathroom immediately after dinner. I remember after a...
  16. I did go to my family doctor. He checked me for an infection and it was negative. He also said that my hydration level was fine. I did realize that I had been really swollen in the vaginal area and that went down since I went gluten free. Maybe that is why I'm noticing it more.
  17. I've had great luck using the muffin mix on the Fearn's rice baking mix. They also have a bread recipe. I haven't tried that, but I'm sure it would work. I've done many variations. My latest I chopped up fresh strawberries. I've also used maple syrup, cinnamon and pecans. Sometimes I used dry cranberries or frozen blueberries. I've also used applesauce...
  18. Hi Barbara, I've found that baking gluten free isn't so bad. Land O lakes even has some gluten free recipes. I've had the best luck when it comes to cookies using my old favorite recipes and converting them. I find using 3 different flours works best. I usually use rice, tapioca and garbanzo bean. I've found that the best combo. Another easy thing...
  19. I'm wondering if it is possible to get DH in that area. I have had it in other mucous tissues. I am irritated in that area when I urinate. It doesn't burn or itch like an infection. I have had urinary tract infections before and would feel pain after I went. I am careful about using unscented laundry soap. I always wear cotton underwear. I just...
  20. I have bought them at Meijer's and Kroger's. Now I can't find them at either store. I went on the site and put in my zip code and it came up with one store that had a fire over a year ago. It is reopening sometime this month. I did see on the site that they were bought by someone. Is that why I can't find them? I even looked at Walmart.
  21. I know that IAM's dry food is gluten free. You can always use a couple pieces of it for a treat. I have also bought pork rinds to use for my dog's treats. I have seen gluten free biscuits in the health food store, but they are quite pricey. I wonder if there is a gluten free dog biscuit recipe out there to bake.
  22. Thank you so much for posting the list. As careful as I'm trying to be, I am either missing something or getting CC. I keep rechecking just in case I am missing something.
  23. I too had a negative blood test for celiac. I had many of the symptoms and have a little sister that is diagnosed as a celicac. I went gluten free the beginning of the year with positive results. Even my doctor agrees that it is helping. I have one sinus infection since going gluten free. I used to almost never get rid of them.
  24. I got the night sweats before going gluten free. They were one of the symptoms that went away when I went gluten free. I've been having them for the last 3 or 4 weeks. I'm not sure if it could be menopause now. I quit taking estradiol last March when they couldn't guarantee the generic form was gluten free. I didn't have any symptoms when I went off...
