  1. I feel like I'm getting another yeast infection. It feels like it is invading my body. I think it's in my sinuses too. I feel like I will never get this under control. I think it's gone for a bit. I'm probably not ever getting rid of it. Seems like a vicious cycle.
  2. Thank you and I am feeling better. I finally ate a semi normal dinner. I just have to remember to not go hungry to these functions. I even got the suggestion to pick off the breading on something that was also laying in a bed of pasta!!! I didn't go for that one. This was a suggestion from a person that has an epi pen because she is allergic to latex...
  3. I've been eating the Mrs. Mayes cashew crunch and it is labeled gluten free.
  4. For the past 2 weeks, I've been in too many bad places to eat. Relatives, a wedding reception, going out to eat and a graduation party. All of this finally caught up with me last night. I've never had the D as a symptom, but last night I did. I was trying to be so careful. I'm sure I got CC and also ate too much fruit (figured it was the safest). I...
  5. I did find myself even more sensitive from gluten after I went gluten free. For some reason my left eye gets kind of watery if I ingest gluten almost immediately. My other reactions take longer. The worse is the feeling of body feeling really hot and tingly. I am trying to recover of a week of eating here and there. I was trying to be so careful, but...
  6. You are right that family gatherings seems to be worse than eating out. I've had much better success there. Of course tomorrow I have a graduation party. I'm going there on a full stomach. I've had over a week of family gatherings and I think it just all caught up with me last night. I did a stupid thing at work this week too now that I think of it....
  7. I had a miserable sleeping night last night. Reminds me of before going gluten free. I've been careful with eating, shampoo, soap, medication, etc. This past week, I was at many family gatherings eating of course. I'm sure that I must have been glutened, the reaction was what I went through many times before I went gluten free. My whole body was on fire...
  8. What first put me on the gluten free diet was my biopsy results. I had different itcy rashes going on for about a year and many others over the years. I even landed in the hospital about 25 years ago with a rash from head to foot. It was diagnosed as an allergic drug reaction, but they didn't know to what. I had 2 biopsies. One came back eczema and the...
  9. It sure sounds like it could be DH. Celiac Disease is hereditary, so your daughter got it from either you or your husband. It could be that your eczema really is DH. It sure sounds miserable what you are going through. I hope you find answers.
  10. My son just got a bad sun burn. The pharmacist suggested putting the aloe vera gel in the refrigerator.
  11. I hope all goes well for you. Keep us posted.
  12. Another interesting symptom I used to have. I made a BLT on a gluten free bagel. As I was eating it I realized it wasn't tearing up the roof of my mouth. Before going gluten free bread would tear up the roof of my mouth. My mother complains about this when she eats bread and also keeps getting rashes. Do you think she believes me about the gluten? Of...

    ARCHIVED Wow!

My family doctor did believe me. Besides dealing with the gluten intolerance, I was dealing with female problems too. I was seeing the same gynecolgist for almost 20 years only to discover that he really didnt' know how to deal with my sitution. He also didn't bother to find out about it when he easily could have. I know that all doctors aren't idiots...
  14. Chebe is a mix that you can buy and make.

    ARCHIVED Wow!

I know what you are feeling. I complained of so many symptoms for years. Why do so many doctors miss this? I think the brain fog was one of the things that went away first when I went gluten free. I hope you are feeling better soon.
  16. I used to get a lot of canker sores as a child. I never would have thought it was caused by gluten.
  17. I tried making these cookies again. I only used a 1/2 cup of butter and they turned out so much better. I even taste tested them on my Mom and she said they tasted the same.
  18. That is very exciting Jerry. Great picture.
  19. I'm not sure exactly what triggered me. I look back over the years of many itchy rashes that were blamed as an allergic drug reaction. I do have a little sister that was diagnosed at a year old with celiac disease. I did have a goiter that was treated with synthroid. I also developed asthma as an adult. I did have 2 biopsies, one came back eczema and...
  20. Thank you for posting about Clinique. I have had great luck with many of their products. A few have caused me problems and I didn't know why. One of them is the All About Eyes I'm sure.
  21. My Mom is coming up to Michigan from Florida. They also go to Windsor to visit relatives. I was just thinking about McIntosh's toffee and wondering if it is gluten free? It's an old favorite from my childhood.
  22. I'm in Sterling Heights.
  23. I would only use tylenol for pain and fever with chicken pox. Benadryl and calamine lotion. My daughter got relief from Aveeno bath but would be a nono because it is oat based. Maybe a baking soda bath would help too.
  24. Although I had negative bloodwork, I went gluten free anyways. I had so much improvement even in the first couple weeks that my family doctor said to stay gluten free for 3 months. It'sl been 6 months now for me. I know that I can't go back to gluten. If I even get a trace of it I know now. I have a little sister that was diagnosed at a year. In her...
