  1. The baby shampoo worked fine. We only bath them if they absolutely needed. After a weekend up north they are pretty yucky. My hubby was also afraid of ticks. Nothing like that doggy smell to know they need a bath bad!!!
  2. Gluten safe, can't believe that one. I remember someone posting that Activa yogurt wasn't gluten free. I have read posts that Yoplait is gluten free. There french vanilla is yummy. They also have an orange one that tastes like a creamsicle.
  3. I was never diagnosed with this. I did think that I may have DH. I had to vaginal biopsies, one came out eczema and the other spongiotic dermatitis. I went gluten free because it was a natural cure for spongiotic dermatitis. Although my symptoms were more itching, it made me realize that I'm not swollen down there anymore. I also tried all sorts of lubricants...
  4. I know at one point, it seemed like nothing stopped the itching, benadryl didn't even help much. No one could understand that itch. I hope you get relief soon.
  5. I so agree that eating out is a nightmare. I got really sick the last time I ate out.
  6. That is great. I go in another month for my cleaning. I would love to get news like that.
  7. We wear our red for the Red Wings here. She would have wore her Red Wing jersey, but it didn't fit anymore!
  8. I'm glad to hear that you've had such positive results.
  9. Before I ever went gluten free, I ate at Boston Market once. The chicken made my lips start to swell, so I quit eating it. I know it is injected with who knows what. I'd be real careful there if you have any other allergies.
  10. Good luck, I hope that you get relief soon. I know itching is no fun. I was itching for so long a year ago. Really nothing truly stopped it. I got a little bit of relief from pure prednisone cream. I have to say gluten free has been the best cure. Keep us posted.
  11. Thank you, I do too. She did have her first at 35 weeks and her second at 37 weeks. She made it through last Sunday's game. Even though I live in Michigan, I was born in Canada.
  12. The label doesn't include wheat in the ingredients, but is being recalled because it does have gluten in it. I just heard it on the news. They said it was sold in Michigan.
  13. GO RED WINGS!!!! I get to go to the game tomorrow. If you hear about anyone going into labor at the game, it could be my daughter. She is 35 weeks pregnant.
  14. Paula, It is so nice to get support. I grew up with a little sister that was a celiac, diagnosed at a year old. I just found out at 52. I'm sure my parents didn't think to have us all tested. I had so many allergies and rashes. I'm sure that I wouldn't have all the problems I have now, if it had been figured out sooner. I can think back to so many...
  15. Thank you. I do think that it is unfair that they can use so many different names. Actually all my life I've had trouble finding soap, body wash, cosmetics, shampoo, etc. that didn't make me itch. I just could never figure out exactly what ingredient or ingredients were getting me. I've even had hypo allergenic get me. At least now I know why. Of course...
  16. Thanks Nancy. He did have a gluten free cheesecake baked for me on Valentine's Day baked by a chef. I just have to get him to stop eating out. It is such a nightmare for me. I'm hoping that he doesn't think it is in my head anymore. Of course men don't like to admit they are wrong. Wendy
  17. I am hoping that my husband finally is agreeing with me. He went shopping for gluten free products. Spent a fortune even. He bought hot dog buns, hamburger buns, bagels, pretzels, cookies, buckwheat pancake mix, gluten free fruit bars, gluten free macaroni and cheese. He actually cooks more than I do. I went gluten free the beginning of the year. He...
  18. Will I have ever learn all these names for gluten? I realized that I was still getting gluten. After I took my shower I was eating a gluten free snack. I can tell if I eat something right away. My eye gets kind of watery and itchy. I went through the ingredients on my body washes. Found two with gluten. One was a baby bath no less. The other was a...
  19. Also you have an awesome hubby.
  20. That is awesome. It is nice to hear that someone would take the time to do all that. It seems we go out to eat once a week. I end up ordering a baked potato. One restaurant actually served sour cream in a little packet, I read the ingredients and it contained gluten. Didn't expect that in sour cream. I'm glad that you had such a great experience. I...
  21. Welcome to the group. I hope that you get feeling better soon. I'm thinking since you are a chef, maybe you will come up with some good bread recipes. I haven't found any really worth eating yet. I know someone posted a flax seed bread recipe on here that looks good and many raved about it. I have a fear of baking with yeast, so I haven't tried it yet...
  22. I'm still rooting for the Red Wings here. It will make my hubby's boss much happier too!!!
  23. I'm glad to hear that your children are feeling better. It helps to be able to get better sleep. When I look back at myself as a child, I always had trouble getting to sleep. It sure is amazing what food can do for you and how it can also make you so sick.
  24. That is so great to hear. I have been gluten free since the beginning of the year and feel some other foods could be a problem also. My family doctor does agree that I still could be a celiac even though my bloodwork came back negative. I have sort of wondered if corn is a problem. Good luck with your son's testing. I feel that my problem should have...
  25. Hi Bea, I can see why you are frustrated. I wish you luck with all that going on. If you all have it, it will be so much easier being able to have a gluten free house. Good Luck
