  1. Thanks so much for all the recipes.
  2. Rochelle, Thank You for the information. I was trying to figure out what glutened me last night. I had Edy's coffee ice cream with Smucker's Hot Fudge topping. Must have been something else I ate. Maybe the Little Caesar's pizza, my husband picked up and plopped on my lap. I didn't eat it but he did.
  3. Does anyone know about Smuckers ice cream toppings? Are they gluten free?
  4. Coffee may not have been the problem, but what you used to eat with the coffee could be the culprit. I've found some foods that I thought were problems for me that I can eat with no problem since going gluten free. Of course coffee would be a hard one for me to give up I must admit.
  5. I also take synthroid. I know that I have other food intolerances. I am wondering about lactose intolerance myself. Until I read your post I forgot about lactose being in synthroid. I've never been a big milk drinker. I originally went on the diet because I thought I had DH. I've also had many weird rashes over the years. The diet has helped in so...
  6. I'm wondering about medication. I decided to go gluten free the beginning of the year. My blood test came out negative, but I do have a little sister that was diagnosed at a year old with celiac. I am wondering if many of my problems are caused because I'm not absorbing medicine properly. I have had so many weird drug reactions. Something that should...
  7. I had a conversation about gluten with my husband. He works in food and equipment for restaurants. He told me the only thing that can kill gluten is bleach. I won't go into all the details of the conversation, but I do know that my son works at a pizza place and they wash all the pans and dishes with bleach.
  8. That is a really nice list to see. I hope more companies will follow this. Thank you so much for sharing it.
  9. I feel for you. Have you checked all your cosmetics, soaps, detergents, lotions etc.? I was using this Oil of Olay body wash only to find out it contained gluten. It was making me worse. I wish you luck. Also check your medications to make sure they are gluten free.

    ARCHIVED Itching

Thanks for all the replies. I thought Aveeno had oats in it. Is there something they carry that doesn't? I've used Aveeno bath trying to get rid of itching only to make it worse. My dry patches are on the side of my legs and rear end.
  11. I tried to tell Oil of Olay after the body wash I used had gluten in it. I got the same response, that I need to ingest it. I fought with rashes for months from the body wash. Grrrr
  12. I don't get why you keep trying gluten. They say it helps to cut out dairy at first to give yourself a chance to heal. The celiac diagnosis means NO GLUTEN.
  13. I happened to have my pharmacist check this one out for me. At first they told me could contain gluten, but shouldn't be a problem. I remarked I'm using it on mucous tissue, so I think it could. She checked further for me and the next time I was in she told me it was fine. I was relieved because it is the one thing that stops my itching. I only use it...
  14. I went to Farmer Jack to pick up a few groceries. I happened to look at their vitamins. I found a couple brands that were clearly marked gluten free. One was America's Choice and the other was Healthy Sense.
  15. Thanks for the info on the frostings. They are so much easier than making it from scratch.

    ARCHIVED Am I Guilty?

I wouldn't feel guilty. You have to do protect yourself. I don't blame you at all. I have a son that works at a pizza place. I have gotten glutened from a hug from him.
  17. You didn't say if you've been gluten free all this time. If you have been and they test you, of course it will be negative. Celiac just doesn't go away or disappear.
  18. Hello and welcome. I went gluten free after a negative blood test. I have had many different rashes through my life. I had biopsies that came out eczema and spongiotic dermatitis. I have had many improvements after going gluten free, but now I'm having the candida problem. Many of us on here haven't had an official diagnosis. I have a little sister...
  19. I have complained about many symptoms to my doctor for years. Many of them went away when I went gluten free. It is frustrating that doctors don't always figure it out. I have a little sister that was diagnosed at a year old. She is 7 years younger than I am and has so many health problems. I'm sure if she had been more strict about being gluten free...
  20. I had a negative blood test, but still decided to try the gluten free diet. It got rid of many of my symptoms. It can't hurt to try it. good luck
  21. Hi Jenny, That happened to me too. I've been meaning to call Chebe to find out the secret. I've heard them bragging about how it is so good on here too. Glad I'm not alone, but I'd like to know what I did wrong too.
  22. Hi Mand, It seems like the yeast infection isn't gone yet. I took another diflocan on Monday. I have this dry rash that came out now too. I just want to know what to do to make this stop. I'm sure that I have other food intolerances. Let me know what your results are on your test. Wendy
  23. I hope they still sell it. It disappeared off the shelves of a store I was buying it from also.
  24. I know how you feel. I just figured this out at 52 myself. I did have a negative blood test, but went gluten free anyways. The more I read on this site, the more symtoms I realize that I have lived with all these years. At first I thought I needed an official diagnosis, but for me the gluten free diet has been enough proof. I do have a little sister...
  25. That does make sense about the digestion. I originally went gluten free because I saw so many of the DH symptoms. I didn't think I really had a digestion problem. I'm sure I do now. I am sure so many prescriptions I thought I was allergic to, just weren't being absorbed right. I have had many different drug reactions over the years. Many medications...
