I buy uncured beef hotdogs. I don't remember the brand. There are two that I've seen. Don't have any at the moment to look. -
No room in the freezer for flour. I buy Ian's chicken nuggets, one case at a time. I get a 10% discount! I also keep a few boxes of fish sticks and a few kid's meals. Daughter loves Coconut Bliss so I have a few cartons of that. And I usually buy 3-4 boxes of frozen strawberry pops at a time. Husbandd will eat a box in a day. Add in a few packages...

I wish I had your problem. Mine is the opposite. I look at food and gain. Not all home fries are gluten free. If the potatoes came frozen, they might not be. Some bacon is not gluten free. Did you eat at a chain restaurant? If so, they likely were not safe. We can not eat at Denny's because there is so much crap in their food it's unbelievable. I think the only safe choices there are a green salad and applesauce.

Just so you know, Agave Nectar *does* raise blood sugar in diabetics. They are lying when they say that. For me it's no different than sugar or honey. I have not used it in baking. Just in raw recipes and I always use far less than is called for. But I don't like sweet foods.

I did that with the Envirokids bars when I couldn't find them in any stores. I ordered a ton online, only to discover they no longer had canola oil in them but canola or soybean oil. I had to give them all away.

When my daughter was diagnosed, I bought every kind of gluten-free flour there was, only to wind up throwing most of them away after they expired. I am doing better on the flour now, buying a four flour blend, sweet rice and brown or white rice (whatever my current recipe calls for) and only other flours if I know for sure I will be making a recipe that...

I haven't tried hazlenut milk, but I shall. As for the Dari Free, I find it to be sickeningly sweet. I made a recipe of Chicken A La King using it and it came out quite nasty. Just tasted like chicken and noodles with sugar. As for the forumla, that won't work since it is casein and not necessarily the lactose that's a problem. But thanks! -

You can pretty much live on trail mix, supplementing it with fresh food when available. I did that in my Sr. year of high school and in college. I made my own with a mix of nuts, seeds, coconut and fruit. -

I assumed she or whoever the gluten-free person was, was eating it and that made no sense to me. As for the tomato sauce, I have never seen any that has gluten in it. Now possibly a prepared sauce for pizza and pasta, but not plain tomato sauce. -

If you are using the same pans for gluten and gluten free, that's not good! If he is making pancakes with wheat flour in your kitchen, he is spreading the gluten all around. If you are making sandwiches with regular bread, you are glutening yourself. -

If you continue to bake with wheat flour, you will be continually glutening your daughter who can't have it. My daughter can't have peanuts or gluten. And I can't have almonds. So I am careful with the flours that I use. I have not run across any gluten-free flours that contain nuts. -

Interesting! I have not tried that one, but... Two years ago, I bought Thermos microwaveable containers. I thought this was a great idea because I could put leftovers in there after dinner then just microwave them in the morning before school. Sounded like a great idea, but twice the jars wouldn't open. My daughter is the only one who can't have gluten. At first we got rid of it all. But that wasn't realistic. I buy bread for myself and husband. We make sandwiches and toast in our own toaster. Gluten is not a problem for me but I have gastroparesis. So most meat is hard for me to digest. I can do chicken breast (mostly in the form of Ian's nuggets and canned chicken), tuna and ground beef. That's it! I have to be really careful with the raw vegetables and can't eat some of them at all. Like broccoli. Or too much lettuce.
