  1. Sometimes the fantasy is SO much more satisfying than the reality (yes, I'm speaking from experience) so I say keep on daydreaming about that roundhouse to the head! Jerk. That, and telling everyone you know not to use that doctor is better revenge anyway. (Is it against board rules for him to tell us so we can avoid this doctor?)
  2. Also, if your store has it, try the Against the Grain brand of pizza crusts. They're more expensive, but they're WORTH IT. I think the Kinikinnick are also very good, but find them to be a bit sweet, which works well if you top with spicy stuff or make a dessert pizza.
  3. My boyfriend used to keep some packaged gluten foods in the house, nothing that would be cooked with, but he got paranoid about even that. He's the one who decided to get rid of all the gluten in the house, he also makes friends wash their hands when they come in, I can't tell you how many times someone's said, Well, I didn't have any gluten today, but ok...
  4. Why don't you try going to allrecipes and spending a half hour just looking through different recipes of smoothies, sandwiches, easy breakfasts. Read some articles they have on 'top ten easy breakfasts' or whatever. Make a list of all the things your daughter DOES like. See what you can do with that. Try using their ingredients search by typing in three different...
  5. Right! I get it. Really slow today.... I would like to see those posts underneath again as well. Or at least the button that used to launch the whole topic. C'mon, who can remember what they were gonna say for more than five seconds?
  6. I still don't get it. What's that say about ME? Hi, Tom!!!!!! *waves
  7. I also violently dislike the Ener-G bread. But guess what it works really well for? Stuffing. It has no flavor and holds together beautifully no matter how much liquid you add, so it makes really good stuffing. For anyone that has most of a loaf they don't know what to do with... Just dice the bread cubes SMALL.
  8. That was me! I rock.
  9. Hey! I'm SO happy something is working well for you. And that it's delicious. I hope it turns out to make your tummy happy rather than angry like the storebought stuff. As far as I know with yogurt, it's yogurt once it's not watery milk anymore. Once you have sludge, it's yogurt, right?
  10. but it's true Hey, that's not TMI, that's the God's-honest truth!
  11. Well, good to know I don't have THAT problem! I have very long, thick eyebrows, takes constant maintenance.
  12. Y'know, I like rice cakes, and different flavors of them and everything. But I CANNOT eat them without making an unholy mess. I have to eat them over the sink, am I the only one with this problem?!?!
  13. I was watching an episode of Dirty Jobs and Mike Rowe was at a cask-making factory, and to caulk the lids they use a paste with wheat in it. Freaked me right out. Haven't had any wine since, as I don't feel like bothering to call the winemakers. Sticking to my potato vodka.....
  14. Er, no, I was thinking you could make your own? If you've had coconut milk, straight, with no problems, then maybe homemade coconut yogurt would help. I'd guess any stuff in the store would have some additives that might piss off your system. Have you tried making homemade bone broths and sauerkraut? Two very healing foods, to my understanding.
  15. Got any metal fillings in your teeth?
  16. I personally use PB8 for a probiotic, it's gluten-free and cheaper than most, and has 8 strains instead of just one or two. I do shell out for Dr Ron's cod liver oil, but it's the best one on the market, so there's good reason for that. When it comes to probiotics, it's all about what works best for you, not what's most expensive or whatever. So if you need...
  17. I'm so sorry about Simon. I still miss my dog I had when I was a girl. Happy birthday to your whacky dad!
  18. Ew. People will do anything to avoid STD's, I tell ya....
  19. Well, technically it is ok. But, I wouldn't want to get my gluteny body all over my sheets, or have to worry about washing my hands every time I scratch an itch. For me, gluten in topical products isn't an option because I do have a skin reaction to gluten, but I probably would avoid it even if I didn't, I'm too clumsy and there's too much risk. There are...
  20. I was just thinking that! At least the mods haven't yelled at us for going off topic.... yet....
  21. I'm so happy your baby is ok! I can't believe people devocalize dogs. can you say obedience school?!?!?! I believe inulin is a food based fiber additive. Used in yogurt?
  22. I just don't see how they could be sure every single blade of grass hasn't sprouted. I haven't taken any of those supplements, too scared.
  23. I'd think it more likely that soy was your culprit, if you get the same kind of reaction to soy that you do gluten. Either way, it made you feel yucky, so maybe try Captain Morgan?
