  1. Angle, I'm still hoping to find out what you did to make this recipe dairy free!
  2. Here's my favorite that I've posted a few times. I haven't gotten much feedback on the board, but my family drools over it and I have to make lots or there will be fighting. Banana bread-makes two loaves 1 cup sorghum flour 1 cup arrowroot starch 1 cup buckwheat flour (or quinoa flakes) 1 tsp salt 1 1/2 Tbsp baking powder 2 tsp baking soda ...
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!!!!
  4. That was so neatttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Here's a bread that I felll in love with and have been playing with ever since. Open Original Shared Link The "gluten-free bread that almost makes you cry" is about a 3rd of the way up from the bottom, I haven't tried the other recipes but they sure look lovely. This one is good for sanwiches because it's soft ans doesn't 'make too much mess'.
  6. "Did you know that Chinese herbs can treat herpetiformis dermatitis"? You'd think they'd do a little research before they tried marketing this crap. I had the "5 steps to a flat belly" too. You know what? My boyfriend likes my squishy belly!!!!! So there!!!!!
  7. Sounds like you need some Vitamin D. Or a full-spectrum lamp to sit under every day.
  8. Thanks! I run quick, yer dogs'd never catch me. Ha ha! So I made rockin pumpkin bread for Thanksgiving. And it only used honey, so I though Emily might be interested...........
  9. Do people actually DO this?!?!
  10. I have gotten to where I can make any-darn-thing gluten-free I want. The ONE thing I would LOVE to have made gluten-free though is my favorite ice cream flavor, Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie. I gotta get an ice cream maker.
  11. Bunnie has been sucking at keeping up. Sorry. My life's been FREAKIN hectic lately, but sily as ever!!
  12. I forgot to say how remarkably impressed I am by your letter. It's a fabulous piece of writing.
  13. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!!!
  14. I've gotten to where everyone is jealous of MY food because it's so awesome. And when I see them eat their food I don't miss it or pine for it, I just start constructing recipes in my head for how to make it for myself.
  15. Ditto. Gentleheart, the dry milk powder is for protein. I would try a 'drink mix' protein powder that comes plain, like rice protein, or maybe just a bit of almond flour. You could even use flax meal if you like that whole grainy taste.
  16. Ditto. It creates good textures and appearance, also imparts a lovely flavor.
  17. I beg everyone here to read the following before buying another Wellshire Farms product: Open Original Shared Link
  18. I have the San-J wheat-free tamari(it's gluten-free), I think it tastes fine, but I'm not a soy sauce aficionado.
  19. Have I mentioned I'm never buying anything from Wellshire Farms again?
  20. Relax. We're here to help. I get almond butter at Trader Joe's or my local big grocery. I get buckwheat flour wherever they carry a good selection of BRM stuff. And yes, I know EXACTLY what you mean about those health food stores! If you'd like to pm me and tell me where you live, I'll be happy to help you find places to shop and eat.
  21. You could also try Gluten free girl's PB cookies but use almond butter instead, that would be yummy. 1 cup almond butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 tsp baking soda Mix, make tiny cookies (might wanna fridge first) and bake at 350 for ten minutes. Works better the smaller the cookies are, and only bake until the edge is just set and changing color. Add choc...
  22. I don't trust any doctors. That includes Dr Fine. I vet everything any doctor says to me. I'm not bashing them. I'm just not trusting them. I will happily bash the pharmaceutical companies, but thats a topic for another day. I, along with Gentleheart, would simply like to know: 1. What Dr Fine has learned and when he's going to share that. 2. Why everyone...
  23. I think maybe you guys are downplaying the meaning of the word 'intolerant'. For example, when I get glutened, I become lactose intolerant for a while, usually a week or so. That doesn't sound so bad when you read it. 'Lactose intolerant.' Except that if I screw up, I will be SCREAMING in pain on my toilet for as long as it takes for the Imodium to kick in...
  24. See! See! There is a quote from the Wizard of Oz for evey situation in life. "Here's someone who can help us now!" I'll grant that I should start new topic if I'm gonna start asking you questions though, I'll be quiet now.
  25. I actually didn't mean help us with the Dr Fine thing, I meant help us in general. I think it is always helpful to understand the origins of things. Celiac included. You're right, the FDA is a corrupt organiztion. And those same drug companies are the ones funding medical schools and what's taught in them. Perhaps we could start a new thread about all...
