  1. Thank you so much everyone, I really appreciate your concern and advice I am starting to feel a little better now. I am just so nervous to eat food now I really hope that I can get in to see an allergist ASAP.
  2. I was losing more than average amounts of hair when I was at my worst. The problem stopped after I started a gluten-free diet.
  3. For those who have had seroius reactions, how long does it take for symptoms to dissapear? I am having trouble breathing off and on and my throat feels tight. I went into a walk in clinic today and got a prescription for prednisone. Has anyone had that drug? The doctor said that he was going to refer me to an allergist. I hope he remembers
  4. Have you ever had to use an epipen?
  5. Thanks, I am still very shaken up from the whole thing. I am very nervous about eating now. I feel like food is poison right now. I cut the beets raw to save a step in cooking. A food processor would work nicely
  6. I'm so sorry that everything is making you sick. I totally understand how you feel. I also feel like I am back to square one as well It's a very depressing feeling, I know. I don't know what I am going to do. I think that the best thing to do is get to a doctor ASAP and explain what happened and be persistant! That is what I am going to do. I...
  7. I don't have an allergist yet, but after what happened last night I'm going to have to go to one. I just moved to another province and I will have to find a new doctor and get to an allergist ASAP. Thanks for your advice.
  8. Thanks everyone I also think that I should have an epi-pen after last night, but the doctor said that I should just have benadryl and not an epipen. He said that without me even mentioning the epipen. I am so scard right now. I really hope that I didn't develop another allergy. I think that I am just going to eat really safe things for now until I...
  9. Last night I had a very bad allergic reaction and I had to go to the hospital for a benedryl shot. I have never had a reaction that severe before. My throat felt like it was closing over, I had trouble breathing, swallowing felt really weird, I felt like I was going to faint, I had a hive on my foot, and I had this really intense warmth feeling. I was terrified...

  11. I have discovered Freybe's and I have been enjoying their lunch meats. Their hot dogs are quite expensive though. Some of the hot dogs brands like Harvest have milk in them. I wish that milk and gluten didn't have to be in almost everything! Thanks everyone for your help
  12. I just discovered Planet Organic Market in the SW off Elbow Drive. That store has the most gluten-free and dairy free options that I have ever seen! I found Larabars and gluten-free and dairy free chocolate bars! I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't already.
  13. I have kind of separated my wheat allergy and celiac symptoms. For wheat allergy I get a rash/hives, respiratory problems, chest pain, and heart problems within 24 hours. For celiac disease, I get brain fog within 12 hours, but my other symptoms (stomach pain and D) can take 48-72 hours.

  15. Stay away from the Garden of Eatin's chips! That sure explains a lot I was eating them and all week I have been having wheat allergy and celiac disease reactions. I had a hudge rash on both of my lower legs, I am having respiratory problems (not getting enough air or something), I had stomach pain, chest pains, and now I am having GI problems ...
  16. Casein is the protein in milk. Some people with celiac disease are also allergic to casein.
  17. I use Earth Balance
  18. I'm glad that they were a hit! I love those brownies.
  19. Double check ingredients on popcorn, chips, candy, margerine, gluten-free products, hot dogs, salad dressings, wine ect. Also stay away from whey.
  20. The brand that I use (Hunts-Wesson) is made by Conagra foods and they will clearly list gluten in their ingredient lists if present. I have never seen gluten listed in their tomato sauce.
  21. Frozen blueberries and maple syrup.
  22. I was diagnosed after a positive biopsy and blood test.
  23. I never noticed a problem with Van's, but I haven't had them that much either. Maybe you got a contaminated batch. I would stay away from them. Try Nature's Path Buckwheat Wildberry Waffles, they are produced in a gluten free facility. I eat those all the time with no problems.
  24. I eat skittles and Trebor allan sweedish berries, gummie bears, fuzzy peaches, and cherry blasters.
  25. I get cravings for different foods all the time. I mostly want chips.
