  1. Thanks so much for writing that article! That means a lot to so many of us.
  2. Kraft BBQ sauces would probably taste good!
  3. I eat Cavendish fries all the time with no problems. Their plain shoestring, straight cut, country cut, and crinkle cut fries are gluten free. I've also made my own sweet potato fries in the oven, which were very delicious!
  4. Roasted nuts can contain gluten. I would stay away from nuts in barrels with scoops since the risk of cross contamination from other products would be quite high. If you're looking for some nuts, I've eaten Planters nuts with no problem.
  5. I'm sorry Miscarriage and hair loss are connected to celiac disease. I personally had more than normal hair loss when I was really sick.
  6. The book, "Wheat-Free, Worry-Free: The Art of Happy, Healthy Gluten-Free Living" by Danna Korn has a section on gluten and schizophenia.
  7. We are getting a gluten cake for our guests and I am making a gluten free cake for me, my finance (dairy intolerant), and my grandmother (celiac disease). I will probably have it on the same table and it will be well coverd.
  8. Oh no He is definitely missing out then Turkey soup can be amazing!
  9. Thanks! And yes, I love stir frys! If you like stir frys, I highly recommend my beet stir fry recipe which was posted earlier. Here is another recipe: Turkey Soup 2 cups cooked turkey 3 cups Imagine chicken broth (add more if needed) 4-5 cups of water 3 carrots, diced 4 small celery sticks, diced 2 zucchini, diced 3 tomatoes, diced 1 onion, diced...
  10. I'm a Canadian too! I've posted some information in the Gluten-Free International Room (Outside USA) forum Open Original Shared Link If you need any information about gluten free products in Canada, please feel free to ask!
  11. I eat Ragu pasta sauces with no problem and I am super sensitive. I recommend the herbed tomato and wine flavour.
  12. Well said! I just don't understand why they did that?! I am so confused and annoyed right now.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I get sick after eating them.
  14. WOW... That is awful! How can they do that? I wonder how many other companies are doing this
  15. Susan, you did the right thing. Don't be sorry
  16. So that is another product from MacDonald's that has changed? What are they doing?
  17. I wouldn't trust this information until I saw published articles with concrete studies.
  18. I think some of us should contact them and clarify the situation. Some questions to ask: Did your fries always have wheat in them? Is the change in your french fry ingredients new? How were you planning to alert individuals with celiac disease and wheat/gluten allergies or intolerances? Will you have dedicated friers for hash browns? I persoanally don...
  19. I always thought that the fries must have contained dairy since I would get sick after eating them. I also suspect that they may have had wheat in them all along.
  20. Maybe try eating foods that are high in protein such as turkey, shrimp, and fish.
  21. Everything that is cooked with the fries will be contaminated. Therefore, if the hash browns are cooked in the same oil as the french fries, then they won't be safe. Alot of people with celiac disease and wheat allergies could get sick from MacDonald's changing their ingredients. I don't eat at MacDonald's but I know that some do and I just hope that they...
  22. The link that Susan provided is from the US and MacDonald's states that, "French Fries: Potatoes, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural flavor (beef, wheat and dairy sources), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (to preserve natural color). Breading set in vegetable oil. Cooked in partially hydrogenated vegetable oils (may contain partially hydrogenated...
  23. I guess that is proof that they are not safe. No wonder I always felt sick after eating their fries!
  24. Wow! Thanks for warning us. I wouldn't eat any more until you hear back from the company.
  25. That's great news! I'm glad to know that they can make a diagnosis based on the gene test and a positive dietary response. She sounds like a great doctor!
