  1. I understand what you are going through I can also get severe stomach pain from gluten. I have a few suggestions as to why you aren't feeling better. One could be that the food you ate at the dinner was contaminated. The food may have looked fine, but you don't know for sure unless you were there while it was being prepared. Another reason could be that...

  4. Maybe you could try to eliminate refined sugar from your diet and see if your health improves. Try replacing sugar with honey in recipes. Honey should be easily digested and tolerated.
  5. I am also the only one in my house with celiac disease. I'll list some important things: - new and separate condiment jars (Kraft will clearly indicate gluten on their ingredient lists if you are looking for jam, peanut butter, or miracle whip). - new and separate toaster, deep fryer, ect. - clean your cooking work space well before placing your...
  6. How long have you been on the gluten free diet? Villi in the small intestine contain the enzyme sucrose, which breaks down sugar. When the villi in the small intestine are damaged due to gluten, sugar cannot be digested, which would most likely result in certain problems later on (most likely GI problems). Once the villi heal, sucrose can then be digested...

  8. I'll add some to the list. I e-mailed Maple Leaf after I kept getting sick after eating their all beef hotdogs. Turns out that they are gluten free but, they may be contaminated. Here is the response from Maple Leaf: Thank you for your recent inquiry about Maple Leaf Top Dogs All Beef Wieners. Although the Top Dog All Beef Wieners do not contain...

  13. I'm sorry your baby is still not well. Some people take about 4 to 6 months to start feeling better. I didn't start feeling better until about 6 months into the diet and I comtinued to have symptoms up until about one year into the diet.
  14. I would love to see the article when it is done.
  15. My pain is also higher up, the pain is upper abdominal directly below the sternum of the rib cage, I'm pretty sure that it is the stomach but, it could also be the pancreas. I used to feel that way too, but after being gluten free for a year, everything started to get better and I could enjoy eating again without worrying about getting sick.
  16. Thank you for posting that information. Do you have a link to the article? Or do you know where to find it?
  17. My guess is that if you were gluten free when the test was taken, than the result may have been borderline becasue there were less antibodies in your system at the time of the test. Going on a gluten free diet during testing can result in false negative results. If you don't feel like going back on gluten again to do more testing, maybe you could get a celiac...
  18. Were you gluten free when the tests were taken?
  19. That's interesting, and it's gluten free!
  20. I know, I am curious to read about what everyone eats.
  21. When, I was eating gluten before I was diagnosed, I was sick all the time, but it was a constant sick. Almost every day I had extreme fatigue, gas, bloating, diarrhea, and brain fog, and I also experienced other symptoms like bone pain and hair loss. Now, when I get very small amounts of gluten in my system, my body responds quite differently. I still get...

    ARCHIVED Bk Fries

You could go into the bk store and ask the manager if their fryer is dedicated. I am super sensitive to gluten so I persoanlly stay away from their fries and all fast food fries because of cross contamination.
  23. I agree with nini, I must have missed the part that said that you has positive bloodwork. You probably had a negative result on the biopsy becasue you were gluten free. I would say that you probably have celiac disease. If you need more proof, maybe get a gene test done? You can be gluten free for a gene test.
  24. Do you have a link to the website?
