  1. I am still having bloating. Its a little like after I went gluten-free, where I notice the bloating pressure more, like feeling more as if I need to go to the BR but can't. For about 10days after gluten-free this was really awful. Now I am more aware again though not such discomfort. I *think* it is related to the gut healing process for me as I have...
  2. Carla, sorry about your parent's beach house, it looks lovely. Hope they can recoup enough on this loss.
  3. Open Original Shared Link Very interesting article--Carla I think this was a link you posted. I think there are a couple of inaccuracies, for example the doctor in Holland that discovered the grain connection did this before the war and as a result of a mother's observations of her child which he then started tracking. Also the incidence reported...
  4. Carla one problem might very well be the andrographis. I don't think of it as detox at all, it is a active anti-fungal I think as well as anti-viral and anti-bacterial. It is one of my main lyme disease herbs. Sherry
  5. Busy day on the thread!! Nice to have you back, Rachel. Sounds like you have been using the treatment delays really well by retesting all your sensitivities. Congrats on the other activities, like a clean car!!! I scored 83 on the color discrimination--pretty poor, LOL. Interesting links Carla. I wonder about getting those hormone levels checked...
  6. I'm taking methyl B12 shots 0.15 cc twice a week. Also Meyer's B complex shots, .5 CC twice a week. I was taking very large amounts of magnesium sulfate plus magnesium citrate in my buffered Vit C. Then added Natural Calm as well. I was still testing low in magnesium. Now I am taking a weekly magnesium shot. It is mag sulfate, 1 cc weekly.
  7. Great! The Kirkman really comes fast. I have another yogurt batch in. And HOORAY! I found honey today imported from Canada. So finally have something for me sweet tooth, LOL! Just had a wonderful smoothie. I'm on Gemmobase Fig. Got it through Dr. E. who prescribed it. Open Original Shared Link It doesn't tell all the benefits here. Dr. E went...
  8. I totally agree with Ravenwoodglass, very good suggestion. The doctors sound like good ones--so glad you found them. Seems like there are more tests for deficiencies that could be helpful but it could be they are not in the typical lab arena. Seems like a good stool test for intestinal flora, parasites (but they are hard to catch), residues (looking...
  9. Yes with the DQ2 genes it is important to now see if you have a 0201 or 0202 type. The 0201 is the celiac gene, the other has a lot less association with celiac. It can however, be combined with the DQ7 to form an equivalent to the celiac gene. (One piece of each together is equivalent to the main gene).
  10. Yes, Rachel. At the lower portion of the post is another result that puts both the gliadin and TTG at a weak positive. So if those are included in the results, I'd still worry about that weak positive. Its weird that it is posted in this way, almost as if it was run twice.
  11. The mold site is quite interesting. The intestinal detox is emphasized--so I think in order to deal with mold toxicity I have to make sure things are working well in the intestine. Hopefully I'm now on the right track and detox will improve. I hardly sweat...so am afraid my skin doesn't excrete that well. Paula, the 3 x a week BM would have been good...
  12. Susie, the book does talk about what is easier to digest. The www.pecanbread.com site has a chart of stages...which is even more broken out than in the book. The harder to digest are in later stages. April, how exciting to hear you are improving too!!! How striking to see the improvement in your son since Gluten-free Casein-free! Yes, you can move...
  13. Carla, I'm hoping for days to weeks NOT years!!!!!!!!! Glad there is some improvement and hope it will now get steadily better. Also glad your family is okay.
  14. Sounds like you have made a pretty good start. How about symptoms? I use very few of the foods you mentioned so can't help with hidden ingredients...hopefully others can. I'd have a concern with your cooking with gluten with regard to flour. It gets in the air and can leave a film on everything.
  15. I'm interested in the source as well. However, it doesn't seem to fit with many people's experiences I have read here. Also for me. Casein and gluten free for 10 months didn't resolve the problem for me, and not even when I removed soy and several other allergens. I've remained GFSF but have reintroduced some milk in a limited way with no changes.
  16. So glad you are figuring this out. I actually have both celiac and lyme disease. Some here have lyme disease and gluten sensitivity resulting from it. So it still might be worth testing for celiac.
  17. I used L glutamine and many many more things to help heal but it didn't work. I haven't tested again since starting SCD, probably will next winter. But symptom wise I am pretty sure I am now on the right track.
  18. So very glad you got your diagnosis. Welcome to the lymie group here, LOL! Recovery is a tough road, keep posting if you have any questions.
  19. Michelle, you could be right. And HOW LUCKY YOU ARE to have caught it this early, even though not early enough to eradicate it before it takes hold in the body.
  20. No, casein and soy are not genetic issues, Enterolab tests for intolerance, doesn't tell you why you are intolerant. Most of the things you list are all harder to digest foods. That could be a clue. Seems like it takes time and trial and error to figure things out. I went strictly Gluten-free Casein-free, then SF, plus avoided peanut, was corn/sugar...
  21. Castor, Since there are still many people with false negative blood tests, I'd take the weak positives seriously in spite of being written off by your doctors/labs. Especially the ttg--which is pretty specific. Certainly there is enough evidence there to suggest a dietary trial.
  22. BTW, just thought I should post that besides the SCD contributing to my improvement, I have also been taking a new supplement that is supposed to be extremely healing for the whole digestive system. It is a fig preparation, but is made from the embryonic and stem cell form of the plant (by Gemmobase), supposedly much more potent and effective.
  23. Rachel glad for your update--what frustration you've had. Sounds like things are going to start moving again which is great.
  24. Carla, sure hope you can get through this soon. Lots of blueberries sounds pretty wonderful to me. I wonder if the baths 2 times a day like moldlady suggests would help, and maybe add the skin brushing before each one. Her thoughts on the chlorella are interesting. Do you think there could be hidden metals complicating your detox? Also any ideas come...
  25. Actually I am still taking my chlorella, and all of my meds, many of which are not SCD compliant. Its the one place I am not compliant with the diet. My LLMD said he prefers it if I am compliant with SCD with my meds, but agreed with me that I need these supplements. It so far hasn't compromised my improvement on SCD which has been huge. I am actively...
