  1. Andrea, thanks for asking. I am not in as much pain thankfully but still not feeling well at all. I just posted on the lyme thread about it. Sherry
  2. Yes, I have wrestled with this fear of not getting better, and difficulty trusting yet another approach or another doctor. After many years it is hard to get my hopes up again sometimes, although if I am feeling better it is easier. I think it is crucial that we have a regimen for our mental health as well as physical health. Doesn't have to, but can...
  3. I am trying to figure out if I am experiencing a lyme flare or a herx? This followed a ten day trip away where I was really pushing the limit in terms of my stamina, plus there was a lot of stress around the earthquake disaster. I was quite tense during this time. Symptoms: poor sleeping again for about 6 weeks, getting worse. No night sweats to...
  4. Oh, looks like 10K. Guess that's not an option!
  5. Carla I am also interested. My LLMD used a treatment for me last winter that I would like to continue where they have a UV light in a box, and draw a syringe of blood out and back in through tubing that is treated by the light. It is a simple looking machine, but my doctor says they are way too expensive. It "activates" the blood cells that in turn activate...
  6. I agree with the others that I think seeing Nurse A if you can would be the best. Dr E has a whole wall of bookshelves lined with things that she tests, seems like you would need that "library" to benefit from this. Who knows? Maybe the timing could work out, and the offices could work with you on it. Sherry
  7. Yes, I agree. I also have seen references that soy can also cause villi damage, in some people, but it is not gluten. I can't tolerate any form of soy.
  8. Paula, one step at a time! Glad you are better. It IS hard to wait for test results! Sherry
  9. That's interesting. My folate was barely in the okay range in the intercellular test I had last winter. Sherry
  10. Birdy, I posted on EFT last fall maybe, and Carla more recently. Have you discussed your wishes with your counselor? S
  11. Yeah, the numbers are really different!! 'Course I translated them from Chinese, but I am pretty sure. I read that labs vary a lot so you can't easily compare them. I am still in range on these according to this lab, except TIBC which is up just a bit. Overall I think it points to folate being a little down but still ok (or probably recovering). Sherry
  12. Yeah, I know what you mean. they don't look at the whole picture. Sherry
  13. Hi, does anyone have any information about what CBC blood tests might show in lyme or the co-infections? I have slightly elevated monocytes (could be chronic inflammation, parasites, viral or bacterial infection is what I found). Also have in increase is large sized RBC (might be anemia) and large sized platelets and platelet distribution width (might...
  14. I'll be interested if the laser works, we all need something that is quick and totally effective. Got my test results back and am trying to figure them out. I think that I have signs of anemia but not life-threatening. My guess is that if I had done this last year when I was first diagnosed with celiac it might have been more scary. TIBC is...
  15. Carla, I read the first page of the LN thread, it looks interesting. Sounds like what Dr. Klinghardt does. My LLMD did some treatments to activate blood cells using UV light and it sounds like it is trying to utilize a similar concept. Off to do ecoffee, still not feeling too well. Sherry
  16. Flagyl would make me tired and I would have symptoms, not every week (I took it two days a week) but many times. My LLMD told me to try taking it 10 days to 2 weeks and I did that once, and the symptoms did totally clear up. But it is just too hard on my system. I did some blood tests this morning, will pick up the results tomorrow. They weren't able...
  17. When you say self diagnosing are you referring to celiac disease? If you are celiac and new to the gluten-free diet you could be not absorbing protein well. That is true for me and I am already a year gluten-free. I am taking a lot of digestive enzymes to help plus amino acid supplementation. Will be retesting in a month or so and hope to see some improvement...
  18. Julie, glad you are feeling better and anxious to hear what the doctor says. So hoping there is a clue to this strong reaction to treatment. I think I am having a herx...not had one for awhile but I am really hurting today! No bathtub here so I can't do a detox bath. Did ecoffee, increased my chlorella and will take charcoal mid afternoon. Guess I...
  19. I'm interested in the answer to this too. We have made Chinese style dumplings with freshly ground buckwheat flour. Tasty but still don't hold together as well for boiling.
  20. Fascinating, I am interested in how symptoms group according to genotype and wish we could have a separate thread for each on this forum. I don't have DQ1, so can't contribute to your question.
  21. Glad you are doing better!
  22. I second all the comments about detox methods, finding some that work for you and using more when you need them is so helpful. About the ecoffee and nausea, it is possible that they are related. The ecoffee stimulates the liver to excrete the bile (and toxins), and that's going to go into the digestive system. Also it is going to stimulate some degree...
  23. Lynne, My thought would be checking what oil is on the potatos, if soy, I'd avoid it for now. The sweetcorn would be my second question. If that doesn't work, try keeping out the potatos and reducing/eliminating the rice. I know that really restricts you, but what you want is a baseline where you are okay. Then from there, try adding one organic food...
  24. Yes, I wonder if it is the instant decaffeinated that wasn't good for you. Also given the small amount you used, and the impacted stool, I would guess that you didn't get a lot of impact from that ecoffee. If you were anxious about doing it and tensing up, it could have created some nausea as well. I think I'd try again, could you get an enema bag...
  25. Paula, I do notice a little impact of the caffeine if I do the ecoffee late in the day, otherwise, not a problem. Might be it is not really absorbed much into the bloodstream?? I don't drink caffeinated drinks--I do have problems from those. Sherry
