  1. April, I don't have much to add either about the IDS. One thought is about the allergies. How was the child tested? There is a way to test and treat allergies that is not all that common but can be very helpful. My allergist does it but most conventional allergists do not. They test foods and chemicals this way: with skin tests and drops under the tongue...
  2. Kassandra, my DIL has PCOS and is pregnant with her third little angel!! It's not impossible. One of the newer treatments is one of the oral diabetic medications, apparently this condition is very insulin related. Sorry for all the stress of this though. Keep us update on the progress and hang in there. You've been through so much and gained a lot...
  3. Vital Nutrients. I had ART testing on several samples, this is the only one that worked. Sherry
  4. Carla, just found out the Dr. E does have Enula and can test me for it with ART; not sure if she tested me last time for it, she did test some Nutrimedix stuff and I don't think anything came up as good for me. Everyone, I am really feeling better. Yay for Vitamin D (and nattokinase, that maybe is helping too)! Sherry
  5. Now there's some feedback!!! Yay! Kudos to you both. Sherry
  6. Nancy, I'm sorry about your Mom, that is so sad. My sister and I have talked about how we are trying to make new choices that leaves a different legacy to our own children. Break the cycle so to speak, and move the family system toward health. Sounds like your kindness to your Mom was a pure gift, and hope that as the giver, you are blessed. Sherry
  7. Nancy, I recently did a couple days worth of study on the Marshall protocol which is the approach that espouses the idea that you should lower Vitamin D. Although it seems some people respond to this approach, it seems better for sarcoidosis patients, and it is a stretch to apply to others. I decided the approach was not safe, and was concerned about...
  8. Carla that's really sad that they treat you like that. They are missing out on a relationship with a fine person. I keep a bit of distance with my parents, too. Not so much the same issue, mostly there is just some missing pieces of emotional support and I get pulled into emotional emeshment. I figure there is some talk behind my back but don't know...
  9. Yeah, I'm excited! This might be at least one missing piece that will make a difference. I'm trying to remember how many times I've been disappointed and stay balanced though!
  10. This morning I tried just one nattokinase (that's what I have been on until last week) and waited quite awhile before taking the D. Not much symptom, so if I have it again after I've taken the D, I'll be pretty sure that's it. My mind is much clearer today. Sherry
  11. Open Original Shared Link Link about vitamins and minerals and sleep. Nice summary.
  12. Carla, can you mention again where the Enula is from? I am going to ask Dr. E to test that for me. I am suspicious that I have more too. I have already order humaworm. [edited] Never mind I found it, it's Nutramedix. Sherry
  13. Yay on your son's meds, Carla! Donna, I loved your balloon. Nancy, I'm glad you are posting here; I agree with the others, it would be wise not to rule lyme out with those positive bands, and your symptoms. An good LLMD will also tailor the treatment to you and what you can handle. If you have had lyme, when you do take antibiotics you may feel...
  14. Some of us who post on the huge OMG thread have had a lot of problem finding supplements we tolerate. One thing that has been helpful has been to find an alternative therapist who does ART testing. This is able to test the supplements for what your body wants, tolerates, and what doses and whether the supplements agree with each other and your body. It...
  15. By the way, I'm not suggesting D is adequate for treating lyme!!! But if you can't do anything else for various reasons, it might be something at least. And it might be a good thing to augment treatment. Sherry
  16. I never have had Igenex tests, I had Bowen lab tests initially in 2000-2001. There's no one size fits all answer, that's for sure. Antibiotics really helped me but it took months to improve. I did have herx reactions which kept us sticking with the program, and that plus eventual improvement confirmed the diagnosis. I have periodic relapses...
  17. enjoying all the 2000 page celebrations and jokes...
  18. Wow, I am really noticing an immediate herx response to increasing my Vitamin D dosage! Interestingly, in a google search I discovered several patients reporting the same phenomenon on www.cpnhelp.org. They are all taking similar antibiotics but treating chlamydia pneumoniae instead of lyme. They said they found research about D having antibiotic effect...
  19. Drinking lots of cranberry jiuce is great for uti's.
  20. YAY! on the 2000 pages of helpfulness to us all!!!!!! Yay! Carla's son willing to take abx... Donna, hope you can resolve the questions for yourself and be a peace and calm with your decision... Guess what? I think I am starting to really herx....only change is tripled Vitamin D, and moved my natto to taking it on an empty stomach. I am glad...
  21. Ursa I am also glad you are thinking of checking this out. I'm one who probably has both celiac as well as lyme. It is difficult to find the answers because a lot of causes seem to bring on similar symptoms. Just look at the similarity in the symptom list between celiac and lyme, let alone other diagnoses. Sherry
  22. April, I know how awful that can be, and they seem to last forever. Unfortunately I don't have any more suggestions. We used to put "Tiger Balm" a Chinese remedy on them. Sherry
  23. Update from my LLMD phone appointment today: He agrees Vitamin D could have activated the immune system for my recent flare/herx; he'd like me to experiment with tripling my dose to 6000 until I get back and tested on the 30th. He said pushing it up could help with the symptoms or push me through the herx much faster. He has treated a lot of people with...
  24. I think that is smart. I'm sending along good thoughts that he will cooperate and take self responsibility for this. Sherry
  25. You are most welcome, glad it helped. The website is quite hard to navigate but there is a lot of interesting info and research notes. Sherry
