  1. Oh, then it could be as it sounds like the opposite side corresponds! Okay, I already wrote and mentioned this to Dr. E and asked for an appointment on the 25th if at all possible. Andrea, was it the dentist you mentioned who did the x-rays? There's no one in Portland that does that? How hard is it to get into the one in Seattle? Sherry
  2. Nope, the teeth where I have the RC's are on the opposite side of the mouth from where Dr. E. mentioned the problem. Sherry
  3. Yes, I have two root canals; they were done well after I started getting lyme symptoms. Dr. E found one area in my mouth (#9-13??) that seemed to have a problem. I need to see if this corresponds. One of the RC's is in a pretty visible area (4th? tooth from the middle on the upper right) and with the family wedding coming up I sure don't want a hole there...
  4. Luke, I notice sometimes I might have symptoms after chocolate but it isn't consistent. Chocolate also tested fine for me on ART, so I haven't figured out the connection yet.
  5. Actually she already did. Sulfur pathway was okay as I remember, she was surprised. Phenols ALL came up the first time. She said they were too many to avoid and did an ASYRA drop which balanced it, and that held in the next two testings I did. I'm still suspicious that there is something there because while my glutathione and cysteine levels are low...
  6. Thanks, I'll write Dr. E. and see if she could obtain access to this, and mention your experience to Dr. A. Sherry
  7. Okay so I decided to join you and take the VCS test. With this recent relapse I am trying to understand what direction to go. My results are unsure--at least to me. I took it with both eyes, with my contacts and reading glasses, but when I covered my right eye, my left eye vision wasn't that great. So it is possible that the acuity wasn't good enough...
  8. I found websites that had pictures of endoscopy photos and examples of what this very thing looks like. The duodenum should have folds visible, look like huge wrinkles in the pictures. In celiac, these folds are diminished or even gone. I think this is what the report refers to. Open Original Shared Link
  9. Rachel, does ART pick up the sulfur/sulfite sensitivity? Sherry
  10. Glad to read everyone's updates. I'm working on a list of possibilities to discuss with my LLMD next Monday in my phone consult. Meanwhile, I think I'll order a second round of Humaworm, ART tested really well for that last winter. Carla glad you are through the herx and doing well. Nora thanks for that info; I didn't have enough symptoms on the...
  11. Hi Rachel, I appreciated your long post as it gave me some things to research and consider before my phone consult next week. I noticed this link about the best way to screen for mecury toxicity, and this lab expert mentions he thinks provoked is still better. At least I think that is what he is saying. Open Original Shared Link Sure hope this...
  12. You are welcome, I was intrigued that this could be also acquired. I am still sick, but a little better today--it's been a rough two weeks. My husband's itchy spots and the spot on his leg finally went away. I keep wondering if was something in the house we were living in while in the USA. I am going to be there again this summer, but in the house...
  13. Mia, I can totally relate. Hang in there. Sherry
  14. Yes, unfortunately when it comes to some conditions like lyme, we are mostly on our own. I was very very fortunate to have gone to my LLMD without a clue I had lyme, for help with the chronic pain. I was hoping for guidance for taking some supplements that might ease the pain. He immediately suspected lyme, later confirmed via testing and clinical response...
  15. Nora, what form of LDN did you take, how much? How long did it take to help? I was on it for awhile but stopped as it didn't seem to make any difference. Sherry
  16. Julie, I came across this and wonder if you have seen it, about angioedema and a deficiency that causes it. Low levels of the the plasma protein C1 inhibitor (C1-INH), can be hereditary or acquired. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Sherry
  17. Nancy, you have had quite a journey. I see that you've not been gluten free that long yet. Do you think it is making a major difference? I am suspicious that it is going to take the full two years to see if my gut will heal substantially on gluten free. I'll be testing later this month to see if there is any further sign of improvement in the malabsorption...
  18. I agree with these posters, and also be sure you are using Igenex for your lyme blood tests and post your results on the forum in the lyme disease thread. Many are told theyare not positive who actually are.
  19. I think you can safely give it some more time given your improvement to this point. Maybe keep a journal so that you can see any minor improvement. If it does not resolve, you might consider other allergies and do an elimination diet. Joint/muscle pain for me turned out to be caused by lyme disease. But there are many others here on the forum who...

    ARCHIVED Very Confused

My encouragement is to hang in there, it actually takes 1-2 years to heal. Overweight is also a symptom of celiac, your body is in starvation mode because you are not absorbing what you need, so you store fat. Also inflammation causes water retention. Be sure you are fully gluten free, and also check your personal care products. Be sure you have stopped...
  21. Sophie that is very interesting. I looked at the herbs listed and it includes senna which is a laxative, I don't know about some of the other things.
  22. Jin, so good to hear from you. I will look forward to your update after the appointment. I sure do hope he is aware of gluten free. Sherry
  23. I travel internationally at least yearly. My stand-by is to carry cashew nuts. I have had luck recently with getting gluten free meals on Korean airlines. Security doesn't really seem to have a standard response, so you can have the gamut of responses. Check with your airline in advance to see if they can code your boarding pass in any way. For Taipei...
  24. Also be sure to be checked thoroughly for malabsorption and vitamin/mineral deficiencies. These can cause neuro symptoms.
  25. Open Original Shared Link Here's a link about Vitamin D and autoimmune disease. Open Original Shared Link And another about the importance of calcium as well. Sherry
