  1. Well, my liver enzymes were a bit better, only one elevated this time. Rachel thanks for posting that info on parasites. This is something I'll be checking further next week when I see Dr. E. Sherry
  2. Just got home this evening... Gua sha bruising was so very much less and also lighter this time. So interesting, because she "scraped" just as hard as before. I'd like to try it once more before I leave. Tomorrow, weather permitting (we don't have a car, only a motorcycle, and there is quite a bit of snow out there today), I'll get my liver enzymes...
  3. Thanks for that info, very helpful. Hmm, fatigue sounds like toxins to me?? Both are pretty effective apparently on lots of stuff. Thanks Carla. I am very interested, and will see if LED helps me at all. If it does, one like yours might be an option. Thanks for your update, Lisa. Sounds like more toxins are coming out, and...
  4. We're almost the same, Donna. I will be too...toward the end of the year though.
  5. Here's something I found about parasites and insomnia: "Parasites produce a great deal of ammonia as their waste product. Ammonia is their equivalent of urine and it is set free in our bodies by parasites in large amounts. Ammonia is very toxic, especially to the brain. I believe this causes insomnia and other sleep problems at night and anxiety by day...
  6. Paula, sorry I can't help too much. I've read your posts but not retained well as I have been so busy with work related things. I can't recall the details. I do hope your visit with your ND goes well and I think it is great that you don't have to travel. I see by the time that you are already in the middle of your appointment. Please update us afterward...
  7. Hello, all. Update for me: I have been extremely busy and feeling quite well, just a few days where I feel fatigue at the end of the day after a very full day, and a few times where I felt a little symptomatic in the afternoon and took an extra charcoal dose which helped. I notice that the three weeks I did not feel well approximately corresponded...
  8. Have you ever tried going soy free? One thing about food sensitivities is that you can have delayed reactions, which makes it hard to track. In addition, if it is a food you are eating regularly, the symptoms are masked often, and come out in periodic symptoms that don't correspond to the time when you eat the food. I read that soy has also been found...
  9. I really like jump rope, it is a rose-mauve I think. And yes, it is my understanding that we can order a sample kit every time. I notice that some things like lip gloss aren't in the samples, so I think what they are doing is great. It takes a lot of trial and error to find the right color foundation.
  10. I don't know, Birdy. I am trying to figure out how to detox mine as well. I am just doing more of the same detox things, so lemon water and just lots of water overall, plus the baths and also skin brushing might help. Charcoal, but that turns the stool a bit dark so you might not want to do that. Also I noticed in the humaworm mixture, several items are...
  11. Also I think, Allison, that right now for your friends and son, listening is much more important than suggesting. What a sad situation and event for all who knew this precious little one.
  12. Yes, I think everyone is asking "why" at this point, and yet each who is grieving will need to find their own unique answer in order to move on. Suggesting this now would add to the parent's grief about trusting doctors with their son. The thing is another approach to his illness might have worked, but might not have worked either. We don't know that...
  13. Hi Jin! Thanks for the PM! I discovered the side effect to Prilosec when I stopped for one day and it improved. The pain was just like lyme pain so I thought it was that. I suspect it didn't occur often enough in the testing population to "make" the list. The balls of my feet are better with wrapping my second toe (wrap around it toward my big...
  14. Kassandra, I wouldn't worry about the bubble. In the many years I have given myself shots that has happened a few times. I think it is just the quality of the skin in that place, where the muscles close hard after you remove the needle and squeeze some liquid back out. Sherry
  15. This is all very interesting. I had a lot of amalgams when I breastfed my children. They both have some symptoms but are not that motivated to do anything. I figure since I am homozygous DQ2 they both have a celiac gene too but aren't too open so far to checking. (My daughter has had some blood tests though). What would be the simplest way to test...
  16. April, I take milk thistle. I was taking lipoic acid as well, but had to stop due to stomach issues and that it gave me more insomnia.
  17. It sounds like you weren't screened for celiac, just tested for allergies, right? I have noticed on this forum that many people report getting more sensitive after starting to avoid gluten and other things they are sensitive to. I read also one person who said it eventually seemed to settle down several years down the road. Others seems to stay pretty...
  18. My allergist has many years of experience, and has food and chemical sensitivities himself--so has been great. He always has told me that skin and blood testing are not always reliable. And when he does skin testing for food it is different than for inhalents, and not only looks for skin reactions but for any symptoms that accompany it. The assistants...
  19. I spend time in Seattle frequently during the two months of the year I am in the USA; my official address is in Lakewood. I'll be staying in Kirkland for awhile very soon, can anyone tell me where to go for gluten-free items, and also which restaurants (preferably not the most expensive please)? Thanks much!
  20. Gentleheart, I agree with what Carla has said here, and I had lyme undiagnosed for 17 years I think. I had a severe bout with joint symptoms in shoulder/arm/neck early on, then it became chronic though not quite as severe as the initial bout. Generalized joint pain increased year by year, and was undiagnosable by a good rheumatologist who did thorough...
  21. Donna, my doc had me work up to 10 drops in the morning, and eventually add ten drops in the evening. I didn't have any trouble so went up a drop 2-3 days I think it was, and then ended up with a MAJOR herx. After that I backed off LOL. Went up a drop every week or two. The samento was very effective for me, so I guess that is why.
  22. The fountain bag is found right next to the d%$#@#$/hot water bottle combo bags. I first bought one because that was all they had...but I love it. You can't use it for d%$#@#$/hot water bottle, but I don't care...I wouldn't use my ecoffee bag that way anyway. You don't have to screw and unscrew the tubing, it is just attached directly to the bottom of...
  23. Sorry about the itching, Kassandra. Wonder if you use alcohol or betadine to clean it, could you rinse afterward with boiled or sterile water?
  24. Donna, I take a powdered form of C with mag, also potassium and something else, I forget. Anyway, what has worked pretty good for me is to take 2 scoops at bedtime, and one scoop right away in the morning. Then I also drink two large cups of warm to hot water right afterward in the morning. This seems to help stimulate things a bit. For awhile I cut back...
  25. Donna, congrats on the improvement with the D! Maybe the C will even out. Can you increase vit C? The buffered C powder I take that has magnesium in it really works, I am actually back up to 3 scoops a day this last month. Not sure why the C got worse again. Hi to you all, I'll post more in a couple of days when things slow down a bit. Sherry
