  1. Glad it is helping you but I do have to disagree that everyone has worms. Animals have worms because they eat other animals, have fleas (which carry some parasites) eat feces, lick their paws after being outside etc. I have pets and none of them have any worms of any kind but they are indoor pets and my dog is checked for them on his regular visits. When...
  2. They are responsible but only to the extent that the FDA regs state. At this point there is still no regs regarding gluten. Companies are required by law to state if any of the 8 major allergins are in the products but not gluten ingredients like barley and rye. Hopefully that will change when the FDA finally decides to finish the gluten regulations. Companies...
  3. Drop those oats for a bit and see if that helps. There are quite a few of us who don't tolerate those and they may be behind the issue you are having.
  4. Have you been gluten free since last December? If you have been have you been back to the doctor? You could have more going on than just Celiac. You should see the doctor ASAP. If money is a concern and you don't have insurance call your local hospital and see if they have a sliding fee scale or see if you qualify for any of the low or no cost insurance that...
  5. You mention rice milk, your not using Rice Dream are you? That isn't safe for us. Neuro problems can take some time to heal hang in there.
  6. It takes some time to heal and slip-ups with gluten or CC are really common in the first year or so. Your scan results were very close to a normal range and while I am not a doctor I wouldn't think that being that close to a normal range that they are going to blame everything on the gallbladder and want to yank it. Continue with the diet and the vitamins...
  7. Your issue may not be lactose, the milk sugar, but instead may be casien, the milk protein. You might want to drop dairy entirely for a bit and see if it helps.
  8. Do you like sweet potatoes or yams? Those are a great source of both soluable and insoluble fiber. They are my go to for regulation. I like them best just cut up and boiled till soft then drained with some butter and brown sugar thrown on but they are also good baked or done as an oven fry. There are also some good gluten free granolas out there. Udi's...
  9. You can have a false negative even on a full gluten diet. How did your body react to adding gluten back in for that week?
  10. Yea I have also been there. Sometimes it seems that healing can take so long we wonder if it will ever happen. For me the key was eliminating soy in all forms except lecithin from my diet. Don't know if that will help for you but it took me years to figure out the soy connection. If soyed or glutened the pain returns but most of the time now I am pain free...
  11. Celiac can have a direct impact on our moods. The only time I get depressed now is when glutened or CC'd. It might help to keep a mood and food diary and see if there is a corelation to your depression and your mood issues. No for sure that is what is going on but worth investigating.
  12. I like Country Life and NOW brand.
  13. Yep there are. It can also change in presentation in myself for example early on a DH outbreak was the first sign I had been glutened but after I had been well healed it became the last to appear. Now that I have been gluten-free for 9 years I have to get glutened really bad for it to show up.
  14. If the B12 isn't sublingual then your body wouldn't be able to absorb it. Glad to hear you are going to follow up with your GP.
  15. Just a guess but maybe they started with Oct without thinking that since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month that would overshadow celiac so they changed it to May. IMHO every month should be Celiac Awareness Month.
  16. I use Country Life for the B12 and most of my other supplements are either the Country Life of NOW. You may find those issues with your reproductive system resolve now that you are gluten free. Doctors don't know why we tend to have trouble getting pregant and with miscarriage and premature menopause but we do.
  17. As long as you are not sensitive to oats Bob's Red Mill is a good one. There isn't any oats in the mix but it is processed in the same plant. I get the corn flour rather than the corn bread mix as I don't like sorghum which is in the mix.
  18. Your body repairs itself when you are sleeping so some of us will sleep more during the healing process. A full nights sleep is also important for anyones mental health.
  19. Just be sure to read the entire label on all supplements because they can say gluten free and still have wheat grass included in the ingredients. Label regs for supplements and drugs are different than they are for food and wheat and barley can be included in supplements and they can still be labeled gluten-free. Also if you can get past copies of blood...
  20. I am not a medical professional but it does look like you are anemic. Your B12 is also low so you may want to supplement the B12 with some gluten-free sublinguals and prehaps do a multi with iron for a bit and then get the iron levels rechecked as you don't want the iron to get to high. It also might be a good idea to take copies of your labs and get a second...
  21. In the end your response to the diet is what matters the most and it sounds like you are doing better. Hopefully you will have many more good days to come. If you have some ups and downs don't get discouraged.
  22. I had severe nerve damage that did take some time to resolve but it was very far advanced. As to your B12 levels do you know what they were and did you have a previous level done to compare it to? Some doctors consider anything above 250 to be fine but research is showing that it really needs to be above 500. Also if you supplement with folate then your levels...
  23. Yes celiac is strongly genetic. DH is celiac but not everyone that has DH will have the gut symptoms. I had DH for years before any gut issues developed. Other celiacs will never develop DH. There is still an awful lot to be learned about the associated genetics of celiac so I don't know if there really is any specfic gene that contributes to the development...
  24. Has he ever visited here? He could do some reading and ask some questions. Or perhaps you could have him talk to your doctor or contact the nutritionist you went to who could talk to him. It sounds like your having a rough time right now and I hope things get better.
  25. It does not sound like homeschooling with online courses is going to work in your instance. I think the fact she doesn't like going from class to class or up and down the stairs may be a hint that she is being bullied. That is when that usually occurs. Is there a different school she could go to in your city? I live in a small city but we have a Catholic...
