  1. I use a lot of glue in some of the stuff I make and have to either take extreme precautions or use stuff that is very toxic and has fumes. What brand of glue is this? I would like to see if it would work for my projects.
  2. It can be derived from gluten grains. Whether there is still enough gluten to bother most celiacs most likely no. Would it bother someone who is one of the unfortunate super sensitives? Maybe. Open Original Shared Link Maltose, or malt sugar, is a disaccharide formed from two units of glucose joined with an α(1→4) linkage. Maltose is not common in...
  3. If you started having issues when you began eating this product I would stop eating it, see if issues resolve, and then maybe try it again. Whether it is gluten or not if you body doesn't like it then avoid it.
  4. Since the antibody reaction begins when gluten contacts any mucous membrane I avoid gluten ingredients in all topicals.
  5. I think you should go back on gluten until the biopsy to give you the best chance of an accurate result. Be aware you could still have a false negative. You may find that even though you haven't been gluten-free for long that adding it back in makes you very ill. Let them know if it does.
  6. If you have been diagnosed with DH then you have celiac and no further testing is needed.
  7. Be sure to let the doctor know how severe your reaction is. Some will have you stop the challenge. It sounds like no matter what the results of the biopsy your body is clearly telling you it doesn't want gluten.
  8. Your damage may be patchy and a damaged area was missed. With your positive blood work, positive for the genes and recovery on the diet that may be enough to convince the doubters.
  9. You could go with Enterolab here in most US states. Just keep in mind that they don't diagnose celiac but they will tell you if you are making antibodies.
  10. I've been gluten free for 9 years and my reaction is still severe. I hadn't been glutened in over a year and then ended up getting glutened due to my own stupidity a few weeks ago. The only thing that was less severe was my DH, the gut symptoms were just as severe as when I was new to the diet. Not everyone will have the same experience though.
  11. False negatives on biopsies are not uncommon for a variety of reasons including human error at the lab. If you doctor could see the damage then it seems a no-brainer to me. Do be strict with the diet and I bet your feeling much better soon.
  12. Yea if you have been gluten free for 6 months even with slip ups you need to go back to a gluten diet for at least 3 months. Let your doctor know that you are going back on gluten for testing and if you become very ill on the challenge let them know. Even back on gluten you still may have a false negative.
  13. It would be a good idea to get a copy of the biopsy report. Some doctors for some reason don't recognize the early changes seen with celiac or want to see the villi totally destroyed before they will diagnose. False negatives are also common for various reasons. Your positive blood test is really enough to diagnose as that test is very specific for celiac...
  14. Since from what I can see looking it up it is made from barley I wouldn't consume it. I don't know if it can be made from other grains, perhaps you could call the company and find out what it is derived from.
  15. It doesn't look like any celiac panel results are there but sometimes they take longer to come back. I think the RBC shows your a bit anemic but I am not a medical professional. I would call the office and ask if the celiac panel was done or not.
  16. It is my understanding that they can't test for that low of a level of gluten. I always wonder about folks that join to revive a very old thread and make one post about the safety of a product that contains wheat or barley grass. Personally I wouldn't touch this product.
  17. The ones I bolded I HAVE NOT used so I can not answer about those but the others I have eaten with no problems at all. Many of the items you listed are either dairy products or products that would be eaten with dairy ie. cereals. Perhaps he has an issue with dairy? Is your home gluten free? He could be getting CC from gluten items others eat or use if your...
  18. Yea I got a lot of that also followed with 'here's a script for Prozac'!
  19. Without insurance it can be rough. See if there is a clinic with a sliding fee scale in your area. Your doctor may be reluctant to do more testing due to the insurance issue but some hospitals will also use a sliding fee scale with their labs. Check into that. If you don't have any options you can go gluten free without testing but that would make it very...
  20. Have you ever tried hemp milk? I like the chocolate and it is nice and thick although I haven't tried it might be good in coffee if you like chocolate.
  21. I like that idea also. Do keep in mind that you don't want red in the tat as that is the color that more folks will react to. I have multiple tattoos and don't regret a single one. I have mine in areas that are easy to cover and have a bit of 'meat'. Upper arms, thigh or butt are good places that are the least painful. Areas over bone like the inside of the...
  22. If your having company for dinner just make something gluten free like a big pot of chili or for snacks some whole fruit or a cheese platter and something that is naturally gluten free. The gluten free brownie or a Betty Crocker cake might be a good choice, most won't even know they are gluten free and they really are not any more pricey than buying a premade...
  23. Yea I am so thankful for that little edit button, well that and backspace. I usually have to edit any post at least 3 times before I get it right.
  24. It's not a hard procedure at all. You do have a risk of having a false negative so do go back on the diet after it is done. This is especially the case if you had positive blood work. Positive bloodwork trumps negative biopsy. If going back on gluten until the test is done makes you very ill do let your doctor know right away.
  25. It took quite a while to find the actual ingredients but when I did I found this: Open Original Shared Link INGREDIENTS: Isolated soy protein, fructose, corn bran fiber, powdered cellulose, artificial French vanilla flavor, guar gum, potassium chloride, calcium caseinate, casein, dicalcium phosphate, rice fiber, soy lecithin, canola oil, carrageenan...
