    If you are going in for a biopsy it is imperitive that you still be eating a full gluten diet. The risk of a false negative are very high if you are gluten free or gluten light.     Please don't do that again. We can't just remove the gluteny parts and not get sick. Celiac is an autoimmune reaction it takes only a very teeny tiny amount for us to reactivate the antibodies. We can't even safely use lotions or shampoos with gluten ingredients. I hope you feel better soon and as you said lesson learned, unfortunately the hard way.

    If your boyfriend is willing to keep a gluten free house I would sit down together and simply tell her that. She seems to be understanding but may not realize that her son would not feel deprived without gluten goodies. I don't think it sounds like she will be offended at all and will simply increase the amount of gluten free goodies she stops by with.
