  7. Julie, totally! BTW Amanda-- I dunno what's headed your way, but for the post 5,000 flipover I would DEFINITELY be grabbing the umbrella! And maybe flood insurance!
  8. I'm out, too. Gonna straighten up the kitchen and head to bed because as you all know.... my children destroy the house if I sleep in too late.
  9. There is that as well! Oh, and the candy spray... I'm thinking of just sporting safety goggles these days...

  11. Excellent summary, Janet! I believe sometime over the winter I earned one: If you spend a few days just reading and not posting, you pulled a Sarah.
  12. Oh mah gah.... I gotta tell you guys... So I went back to the Dr to get blood drawn, and the boys and I saw a brand new red Mustang out the back door. The boys, of course, were fascinated. They both love cars, though Lucas is certified Car Crazy. Turns out it was our doctor's daughter's car. So she had her daughter come back and chat with the boys...

  17. Or add a little fountain or waterfall. The sound of running water helps attract them, too.
  18. Just a driveby... gotta start dinner in a minute. Janet, Are you sure you don't have a snake in residence? Sometimes, as soon as you get a good frog population going, a snake will move in because... well, they want to eat 'em. So the frogs take off. Some snakes will just pass through the area, but other species like to settle down at a nice pond-- they...
  19. Me too, she is really phunny! I actually like to use the crockpot even more in the summer, because it doesn't heat up the whole kitchen like the oven does, AND I'm usually a lot busier in the summer.
  20. Great so far... I think dinners are going to be the hardest! Oh CRAP! That reminds me, I'm supposed to go to the lab for a blood draw and forGOT! Gotta run, now!
  21. Just got this one from my mom! An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard; I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of. He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner...
  22. I don't know if any of you ever bought Malt-o-Meal cereals, but I used to get them sometimes pre-Celiac because they're inexpensive. I e-mailed them asking if any varieties were gluten-free, and here's their response: Thank you for your email message regarding Malt-O-Meal ready-to-eat cereals. Currently, our Malt-O-Meal Fruity Dyno-Bites
  23. That DOES work for door slamming!!! My father took my door off the hinges for a month once when I was a teenager for door slamming, and I NEVER did it again. Both of MY kids' bedroom doors are currently off the hinges for the same reason!
  24. I think that "phaerie" began the PHing, but "phart" followed closely behind. ;) Get it? Pharting is definitely phunnier than farting. No doubt about that! Getting ready to start my low-salt Edna tomorrow- wish me luck!
