  1. HI, Sorry to sound suspicious, but posting for a company in your first post, makes me think you work for a marketing company trying to sell your product.
  2. I drink a lot of cream in my coffee and it never seemed to bother me. When I drink milk, sometimes, my stomach will hurt within minutes of drinking it but most of the time it doesn't bother me. I can also eat yogurt but once I thought it did bother me. Buttermilk helps me if I have indigestion. It's soooo confusing. Good question! Now I'm gonna...
  3. I don't know the answer but you sound like me. I actually bought a magazine the other day because it had tips on losing weight, but I already know what I'm supposed to be doing and it's not helping. Whenever I eat something bad, that is when I get the hungry sensation. Also I am finding out that dairy does not like me, although it doesn't affect...
  4. Thanks for the tip. I will try ANYTHING!
  5. Have you had your vitamin D checked? My hair was really coming out. I had to buy a hair catcher for the shower because so much of it was coming out. Even after the shower I would pull out big clumps. Yesterday it seemed like there was less in the hair catcher. I'm hopeful. My thyroid was also bad but it has started improving too and I'm assuming it...
  6. I'm sorta in the same boat, except that I'm much older. There were two females in my family and neither of us could get pregnant. I finally did at 40 once I started taking lots of herbs and multivitamins, but then she came 8 weeks early. Cheating is so easy when you don't know if you are really celiac. I am also cheating based on symptoms, but I never...
  7. It's great for fever blisters and it also helped me to feel better. I read it's not good to take a single amino acid for too long.
  8. I think Jenny McCarthy being on Oprah introduced a lot of people to the bad effects of gluten and casein when she was talking about autism. No telling how many kids she helped that day because their mothers were watching. The more it's talked about, the less weird looks and the less disinterest people will show when you tell them you can't eat gluten. I...
  9. Well that sucks. But I wish there was more info on how they did the testing and what levels of vitamin D and what kind of vitamin D, what diseases the patients had, etc. They say, "The comprehensive studies are just not showing that supplementary vitamin D makes people healthier." That means to me, that they feel it's a cure-all for the patient without...
  10. I'm just wondering if this is normal. When she gets up in the morning, she just keeps eating one thing after another. I finally have to say no. She ate two large bananas, and a cup of applesauce, and a full glass of milk, in about 5 mins, and she wanted MORE. I don't think this is normal, so I wanted to get others opinions. She is not fat. I've had...
  11. The only thing I have liked since going gluten-free was the Deboles pasta. Rinsing it is key. It even works better than regular pasta in my baked spaghetti recipe. And the good thing is you are rinsing off all the starch so it does not spike your insulin levels.
  12. So you are saying you just have a body image problem and not really a weight issue. Maybe you could make an appt with a counselor at school or tell your primary care doctor and see what he says.
  13. Is the pain in his rectum? I had the sensation of the rectum closing and not being able to poop. I would run to the bathroom and when I got there, it's like a valve closed and wouldn't open back up. Does he take calcium and magnesium and vitamin d? I always thought it was a muscle dysfunction related to vitamin deficiencies. I'm not sure which vitamin...
  14. I didn't think the tapioca had any flavor at all. Tapioca is what gives Chebe bread such great flavor. I ground up my own toasted garbanzo beans and made gravy with it, and it tasted great. I did read that it goes bad quickly and must be refrigerated, so maybe that's why it would not taste good. Just a thought.
  15. I am curious to see how your vitamin D levels are in two months. I'm also low and the Dr is giving me 50,000 iu for 6 weeks. I have heard 400 is too low, so I wonder if it will bring up your level to normal. I just read we should be taking 2000 iu. Please let us know.
  16. Well, IMO, I think they really had to tiptoe around the wheat topic. They figured they would be murdered if Dr Northrup got on there and said don't eat wheat or gluten after the campaign to eat whole grains is on every commercial. I feel that someone discussed it with Oprah and that's why she brought up the many kinds of diets comment. Oprah definitely...
  17. Gluten intolerance is so foreign to people. I remember the first time I heard it, and I knew it didn't have any bearing on me or my health problems. It's something that just happens to someone else. Oprah probably feels the same way.
  18. I saw parts of it. I was all ears when they were talking about thinning hair. She said it was from eating high glycemic foods. I don't eat a lot of sugary foods, like I used to, so that puzzled me, unless it's from the coffee. I was happy to hear her talk about the gluten and wheat problems. It's good to get the word out.
  19. I had a severe vitamin D deficiency but I'm not dx'd. I was misdx'd with lupus. I also had the lumps in my feet and constipation so severe my poop would come out in pellets as small as rabbit poop sometimes. I thought I had gastroparesis it was so bad. I never had stomach trouble as a kid but I had my gallbladder removed at 24. I hardly had enough...
  20. Well, I've had so many other things to order online, (I'm trying out Indian food), I was trying to find it locally. I wonder why you can buy egg roll wrappers but not rice papers. Even Walmart has egg roll wrappers.
  21. I have looked for the rice papers and can only find egg roll wrappers. I even looked for a recipe for the rice papers but no luck. I am pretty far away from civilization and sometimes that is not a good thing.
  22. I love cream and butter and if it says low fat, I run the other way. Sounds like this book is right up my alley. I figure if Julia Child ate that way and lived as long as she did, it's okay by me. Thanks for sharing your opinion. I'm headed to Amazon right now to look at it.
  23. I read that gallstones were not caused by eating fat but just the fake fats. I can't remember exactly how it works. I have a fatty liver so I did some research on it, but it's been awhile. But I stopped eating all trans fats after that. I have already have my gallbladder removed. I did do some liver cleanses but my bowels were not working at the time...
  24. No, there's no difference in the oats. Oats are oats, although I love whole foods oats. I don't know what they do to them, but they are soooo good. Maybe it's because they're organic. Anyway, I just posted this because those recipes looked soooo good.
  25. My 11 yr old has that too. It's a sinus problem for sure. My kid is old enough so she can use a Neti pot to help with it. I'm sure it's what she's eating. I read somewhere that gerd/reflux can affect the sinuses. My daughter also has really bad breath and eating too much sugar can also affect her sinuses.
