  1. What's the world coming to, when we stalk more frequently than we stack??
  2. Monday, Monday - Mamas & The Papas
  3. Another Day - Paul McCartney
  4. I would 'xpect it involves melting the butter in the microwave first?? Now I do the opposite of Bun Bun -- I make a PRODUCTION of mac 'n cheese involving a roo roux and really thick cheese sauce and buttered bread crumbs and parmesan on top, I mean, you have to call it Macaroni and Cheese Sauce, really
  5. But you do have to put in extra sauce, I have found, or it gets too dry
  6. Did she specify what the zantac was supposed to do for him?? (rather than TO him).
  7. The slides should be reviewed by the hospital pathologist who is used to interpreting these things. The doctor will probably be interested in them but you need a specialist interpretation. Your GI was reading from the pathology report when she started talking about "scattered intraepithelial T-lymphocytes" I would call the San Diego doctor you are going...
  8. Absolument!! Sixty-four specially invited guests all born on his birth date, with 64 (smallish) cakes all lined up in eight rows of eight!!! for them to munch on (along with such Kiwi Kai as whitebait patties and pavlova, etc.) (I don't think they killed the fatted sheep though )
  9. Isn't that the truth??!!!! You would think they were getting a kickback from Big Pharma for every time they failed to diagnose celiac. I know, it doesn't make sense; maybe just the realization of the patronage they are losing by your not needing to come back to have scrips refilled, not to mention the potential development of other auto-immune diseases...
  10. My goodness, what a revelation after all these years As you say, sure reinforces what we preach to newbies. Fabulous news about your job - best of luck to you.
  11. Hello, and welcome. I always feel so sorry for those whose doctors do things in reverse -- cause the medical reactions to go aay and then test for the medical reactions. It is absolute insanity. Test first, quit gluten second is the mantra we preach over and over. The blood tests are looking for antibodies to gluten, which start fading away once they...
  12. From my point of view, cut out dairy, corn and soy and see what happens. Corn and soy because so many of us have problems with them, and because of their being heavily GMO'd, and dairy because you can't digest it with damaged villi (if you are celiac -- sorry, didn't read back to check your diagnosis, it's late...)
  13. The one thing celiac will teach you is patience... just wait a while and see what happens.....
  14. One of the reasons I decided not to undertake the delicate art of reproduction after the aspersions cast on me mum!!! (And no, I look quite visually normal - no pheats under chins -- it's what lies beneath you really have to worry about
  15. In my humble experience, any question which starts "How long..." does not have an answer. It takes as long as it takes for you, is all I can say.... Every body is unique and every response is unique and while it would be nice to have some guidelines, they reallly do not apply. Sorry about that.
  16. You mean your best friend was not invited over for the birthday party?? There were 64 other people he shared his birthday with, though, the oldest being 101 and she couldln't even speak, to say "Gidday, Charlie." They baked 64 cakes for him, each one expressing some aspect of Kiwiana -- don't know if he appreciated it or not. There was sheeps and pavlova...
  17. Well, I did not go to the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Show today, the number 150 edition (it was 54 degrees!) and I did not see Prince Charles and Camilla, so I did not get to execute the curtsey I had been practising for months!! - yes, even in hospital -- and I am so disappointed not to have personally made the acquaintance of our next king...
  18. Dental enamel erosion is a typical celiac problem. Despite what the tests may be telling you, I would think you are most likely celiac. Flluffy, especially if they float, stools are very typical. You sound more and more celiac every day
  19. That's what I was thinking, too. Lookin' good, lady!!
  20. Yes, who are those people?? I have seen them before but forgotten who they are
  21. Tombstone Blues - Bob Dylan
  22. Strawberry Roan - Marty Robbins
  23. Bad Boy - Marty Wilde
  24. Church on Tuesday - Stone Temple Pilots
