  1. ovary cysts are common. They come and go. I had one and then after awhile it went away. I was told this was common too. My sister has one now that is big though-softballsize. They are trying to shrink it with BC pills. If you find out anything please post. My sister would never get tested for celiac, not unless she was dying. She loves her beer...
  2. I can't say anything about the foot pads one way or another, But I will detox out of the bottom of my feet naturally sometimes. IT is gross. The bottoms of my feet will sweat. yucky. It happened the other day when I got car sick(a rare event). It happened a couple of months ago in the middle of the night when I felt sick with a headache and naseau...
  3. when doing research I looked at published science articles and experiments. This article below explained the experiments that studied the difference in DQ2.2 and DQ2.5. My issue with this is it was a study in a lab, not a study with humans over years. I copied part of the conclusion and posted it here. It states how DQ2.2 does have a reaction to gluten...
  4. I have the DQ2.2 gene that you have. I did tons of genetic research on celiac. Here's what I learned 1 - lots of people with celiac have not been genetically tested 2- celiac is definately possible (although rare) in people without DQ2 or DQ8 3-most people with celiac WHO HAVE HAD GENE TESTING have DQ2(reallyDQ2.5) or DQ8. But not all. Of the...
  5. marie, your bloodtest was inaccurate because you were not eating gluten at the time. You have to be eating it. The allergist should have known this. You can get your daughter gene tested. You could not pay me enough money to go back on gluten for testing. My dietary results were enough, plus the fact that they have lasted(it has been over 6 months)...
  6. go off gluten now and give it time. One week is not long enough for someone who is sick. You will mess up at first, we all do, so sometimes you may get sick. But soon you will know. There is no one making you eat gulten.
  7. please, get a pap smear as soon as possible. Borrow the money, call around and find a cheap place. Clinics are helpful and will tell you the cost and give you a discount for paying cash. There is absolutely no reason with your family history to not be getting one every year. white blood cell counts can mean there is an infection present. maybe he...
  8. Thanks, very interesting... it also mentioned Diabetes 1 and MS possibly having the same reaction in the body. I think other things could make this permeablity happen also, like damage to the intestines from something else.
  9. My dd has been gluten free for 6 weeks. I want to reintroduce gluten to see the results. Her tests were negative/inconculsive. her symptoms are mood swings, mouth sores(3 kinds), and very little growth. since off gluten she did grow one inch and one pound but that could be a coincidence. She still has mood swings that seem definately linked to too...
  10. it is rare to have celiac without the main two genes, but definately possible. There are at least a couple of people on here with biopsy and blood confirmed celiac without the genes. There are documented studies proving that there are some people who get it without the genes. Also males are more likely to not have the 2 main genes
  11. It is hard at first to be 100% gluten free. My pickles weren't gluten free, then much later realized that pickled ginger can have barley in it. I accidentally to a sip of my son's minestrone soup thinking it was lentil. I put my fingers in my mouth after cleaning up my son't soy sauce. ugh. I stopped eating out completely for awhile. I stopped eating...
  12. they do a gene test. It is a reliable test that can tell you if she has the main genes for celiac. About 94% of celiacs have on of those two genes. Doctors can order gene testing too that her insurance might cover.
  13. me too. I was the type that gained weight easily, overnight even. I did not eat alot either. I think I was holding on to every bit of nourishment I got. I worked hard to not be overweight. Then when I went gluten free I lost weight, 6 pounds, without trying and while eating alot of food. I was hungry too! But I stopped getting that awful low blood...
  14. I do use almond butter, but not often. We put it in homemade sushi. I don't use it enough to know if it does the same thing. I love nut butters though.
  15. so peanut butter constipates me. Is this normal for peanut butter or is it a sign of a food intolerance? Too many nuts(cashews or almonds) give me distress, but in the fast loose stools way. thanks
  16. honestly, musle testing saved my life probably. At 19 I was itching from the inside out ALL OVER. IT was horrible and I thought I would go crazy. A string of events led me to a natural supplement store. By coincidence a chiroparactor was there. I was able to see him after the lady at the store said I should. He muscle tested me and I cam up weak to...
  17. I had these too. I got them so bad, only on my hands. I could only use my thumb and index finger at one point. I had to use steriods. They itched, my hands cracked and bled. It was tramatic. When I went off wheat they went away. I was being bad and eating wheat again this winter. They began to come back. I have been gluten free for 6 months. I still...
  18. so funny, I had bookshelves in my bathroom for years!!! Also, you know you have celiac if you spend hours contemplating the paint color for your bathroom so it will help ease your naseau and intestional cramps AND because you know you'll be in there alot!
  19. Thank you. "Our" fire, the paradise fire, is almost totally contained here. Our air has been fine for the most part. I know when it was bad here it was bad in monterey too. I keep praying....
  20. hi, my son had a white poop once, but I did not see it. The other kids did and verified it was white!!! He does not have digestive problems at all. He is not on a gluten free diet nor has been tested. I plan on it though because of other symptoms. I googled white poop and it did not sound good. Luckily he never had it again and it has been a long...
  21. well, I don't know why they say that, the truth is it is rare to have celiac without those two genes, but not unheard of. There are definately documented cases. Not to mention that lots of people who were diagnosed with biopsy have never got the gene test. I have a friend on here who has refractory sprue and is double DQ5. take care
  22. We are leaving tomorrow for san jose for 3 nights then monterey for two nights. Can someone tell me the air quality there. I could change plans if needed but need 2 days notice to cancel in monterey. Thanks.
  23. I was diagnosed with IBS. Even then I wondered...why is it irratable? well, gluten is why. I have almost no symptoms at all anymore now that I am gluten free. yea!!!!!! the tests are unreliable. Just because you tested negative does not mean you do not have celiac.
  24. weight gain is not always a symptom. When I got real sick I would put on weight, be hungry all the time. I don't think I was absorbing things well so my body held on to what ever it could get. Also inflammation. If your tests come back negative you may want to go on the gluten-free diet for longer. A month and a half is not real long. I knew I was...
  25. what bothers me is not that he does not understand about cc, doesn't know, doesn't believe, but that he would say to you, the one who HAS to live with this, "wave a flag that says pay attention to me!" I have had symptoms for 23 years!!! AT times I did wonder, maybe it is in my head, maybe I am paying too much attention to my self, maybe it is to get...
