As one of the bitterest substances known to Man it was used several times in the Bible in a figurative sense to represent the bitter effects of not following God's advice. I am just glad that we get it in capsule form and that my stomach can't taste it! Isn't it amazing that my stomach has such a problem dealing with lovely tasty sweet sugary things...

I don't have a clue where she is Beverly or whether she is even still practicing. I did an internet search for her some months back but couldn't find her. She may have remarried (she was single at the time) - I mean I am going back now well over 20 years and she was older than me so might have even retired. Or died. Terry has not worked since ...

Jan - it is interesting that having stopped the Wormwood and Goldenseal, the whole body banging/thumping and stressed digestion thing I get has come back. For a week it was hardly noticeable but I can feel it banging away now as I sit at the Computer. I need to get to bed in a minute (it's gone 1am) and I just know it is going to keep me awake. The fact...

Thanks Ginny for your input. I don't think too many of us are 'taken in' by Doctors but it is good to get feedback from someone 'in the hub' as it were. One of 'Jestgar's' tag lines says "But then, in all honesty, if scientists don't play god, who will?" (God himself, the ultimate scientist???) I would kind of reword that to a certain extent to "But...

The thing is that a stool sample may be able to identify intestinal parasites if you are fortunate to be able to get that done and you happen to have passed any in the stool samples that are provided. The greater problem arises when the parasites are living elsewhere in the body. If they are not in the intestines then there is unlikely to be any evidence...

I won't argue with you otherwise I would be breaking rule 1 ! I have made my personal observations and feelings (because that is all they were - and ever are) known on that subject and it is now closed. What exactly is an LLMD? We don't have them over here. I can't afford to pay for treatment. My husband is on basic pension and I have not been...

My gorgeous daughter who is now 5'9" tall, 30 years old and has two beautiful boys of her own! When I have lost all the weight, gained my hair back, lost the bags and the black rings under my eyes and look drop-dead gorgeous I'll post one of myself, until then I'll have to keep you all guessing. The camera definitely lies in my case - I always look...

Anyway, having got that off my chest, I am contemplating getting some Humaworm. I am taking some of the herbs but that product seems to have the lot! They are also pretty reasonable too. I want rid of these things. Funny - my Dad always used to say when he was hungry "the worms are biting". Ever a true word spoken in jest............ I was talking...

Isn't it funny how the herbs are always portrayed as the 'baddies'??? It is never the drugs that are a problem............ ........and just who might that 'expert' be??? Open Original Shared Link My definition of an expert in any field is a person who knows enough about what's really going on to be scared. P. J. Plauger, Computer Language,...

Does it say why Echinacea and Goldenseal can't be mixed? I am aware that Goldenseal should not be taken when pregnant and neither should be taken for more than 2 weeks at a stretch, but if the two herbs should not be taken together at all, then someone should tell Holland & Barrett because the H & B pot I am using is a mix of the two. Does it...

Well, you see, you are very privileged. We don't have MD's over here in the UK who deal in either herbs or supplements. Ours are nothing better than glorified drug-pushers. If I want herbal treatment I have to pay for it and then I still have no way of knowing how knowledgeable the person is who is treating me apart maybe through word of mouth from...

ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)
AliB replied to AliB's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Jan, mine was removed too - don't worry it's not aimed at you specifically, there seems to be issues with the subject matter (if you want to know more in the Parasite field check it out on Curezone!). I agree with the Doctor thing - I too am an ongoing experiment. Doctors have done me and mine more harm than good over the years and I have learned that... -
I thought that was such an excellent suggestion Jan, I decided to start a new thread on the subject, so now we have two to maintain! It looks as if I may be in this parasite cleansing thing in the long term - they are apparently difficult little beggars to shift when they are anywhere but in the intestines. Taking away their yummy food with the diet definitely...

ARCHIVED Dientamoeba Fragilis & Blastocystis Hominis
AliB replied to wcc84's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I pulled this thread back up because I think it has a great relevance - not necessarily just these two parasites, but parasites in general. My research has led me full-circle back to pathogens - microbes, bacteria, yeasts, but particularly parasites. There are hundreds out there. We don't have to go to them - they come to us. Most doctors only consider... -
ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)
AliB replied to AliB's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Certainly things like garlic would help - but if you read that article that I have included the link for above, then you will see what needs to be taken for parasites. The most common are things like Black Walnut and Wormwood. It is interesting that most cultures have certain herbs that they have traditionally taken for worms/parasites. Even if some... -
ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)

Whitney - you might want to consider doing an herbal parasite cleanse - I was reading that certain parasites can cause constipation! -
ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)
AliB replied to AliB's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I am plugging my way through Hulda Clark's 'The cure for all diseases'. I found a .pdf version that was a free download. It is an eye-opener. Whilst I feel that there certainly is a lot of credence in her protocols certainly diet plays a big part too. I have really been digging in with the Anti-parasite stuff over the last three days. I certainly have... -
ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)
AliB replied to AliB's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Sherry (mftnchn) posted a bit on this thread a page or two back where she said her 'doc' had picked up Strongyloides and she is just going through treatment for it so you could try PM'ing her to see how she is getting on with it. She has also been treated for other parasites. She doesn't post on here very often now so PM might be the best way to contact... -
ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)
AliB replied to AliB's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Well, the H. Pylori test came back negative (suprise, surprise), but I am still veering towards some kind of parasite being a problem. The more I read about them the more I am suspecting that avenue. It seems that they would not normally be able to get a hold in a healthy gut. The intestinal mucous would stop them doing that and they would basically... -
ARCHIVED Dh Celiac, I Maybe Milk Intolerant, Help!
AliB replied to mindwiped's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
So sorry, I meant no inference that you should stop the drugs dead, just the hope that removing the common trigger foods and substances might just enable you to be able to taper down and be free of them at some point in the future. It does take time for the body to adjust to a change in the diet and lots of different things go on as the body starts to... -
ARCHIVED Dh Celiac, I Maybe Milk Intolerant, Help!
AliB replied to mindwiped's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Can I just butt in here? So your DH is Celiac and you appear to be Dairy intolerant - but what if you are both still having stuff that triggers the migraines? Why not go back to basics food-wise and follow something like the Paleo Diet or Failsafe, or the one that many of us are getting better on - the SCD and see whether you might just be able to dump... -
ARCHIVED Topical Allergy With Digestive Symptoms?
AliB replied to raisin's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
In people who are intolerant, gluten (and often dairy) mucks up the digestion something awful. Nothing works properly and many of us are plagued by problems with other - seemingly innocuous foods as well. I mean, we really don't have a clue what is being done to the food out there and what effect it is having on us. It is possible you are having issues... -
ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)

'Good thinking, Batman'!! (Sorry Mia, that might be lost on you - from the old 'Batman & Robin' series on UK/USA TV). We just tend to think of fermenting the milk from the start when it is liquid, but fermenting the cheese could be an option. Hmm, wonder if you could do the same with ordinary cottage cheese? Might need to break the curds up so that... -
ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)
AliB replied to AliB's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Hi Juli - Mrs Julirama! Glad your wedding went ok. Bit of a mystery over the food thing though. Not sure I can come up with a suggestion on that one except that maybe due tot he SCD your gut flora had started to change and it took a few days for the baddies to proliferate enough from the 'illegal' feeding to cause a problem again? I always seem to have... -
ARCHIVED Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD)
AliB replied to AliB's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Hi Ms Lee. Can I suggest your Dietician needs a lesson in the nutritional qualities of food. If the only place we could get B vitamins from was grains then a huge chunk of the World's population would be very B deficient. By far the best supplements for nutrients is food. Pills do not work anything like as effectively as the real McCoy. There are many...
