  2. Wow this thread is really awesome! I am 100% Irish. Both sets of grandparents came over from Ireland. One set came from County Cork and the other came from Belfast. ( I learned that my grandpa escaped here because he was in the IRA and was in trouble ) I am 31 and look about 24. My normal hair color is blonde (was light blonde when I was little...
  3. I tried the Tinkyada lasagna noodles last week for the first time and I was SO impressed. We used Mrs. Leeper's before that and it was "just ok". My kids and my husband all thought it was the real thing. I haven't tried the elbows yet, but they're calling my name and yelling for me to make macaroni. By the way...does anyone know how to make a good macaroni...
  4. The new white chocolate M&M's are a promo for Pirates of the Carribbean. They only come in plain, but they sure are awesome! They have a peanut version that is gold colored, but they're normal on the inside. I've found them just about anywhere they sell the big bags. ( large, medium)
  5. I let the dog lick mine the last time I had one of those , but I usually have the sticker ones now.
  6. I haven't heard voices in my head for a looong time.... Wonder where they went and can I go too....
  7. I take Hydroxycutt with caffeine in it. I've lost 15 pounds so far. Nowadays they don't have anything bad in them. Although if you have thyroid problems, they're not recommended.
  8. Kind of both I think. The GI that I saw before had said that it was nothing. Since I'm a military spouse, it's hard to get a good Dr. that will listen and actually work to find out what's wrong.
  9. That's how my reactions would come out before I got dx'd. I didn't have seizures, but the fainting and everything else. After I quit the gluten, it stopped. The only time it started back was when my appendix started acting up. After they took it out, everything was fine.
  10. I have a problem. About every 2-3 months, my poo is bloody. Both bright red and dark red. I'm wondering if it's stress related (there's been a whole lot of it) or is it just the Celiac? If there is anyone out there who can give me some insight, I'd appreciate it. I had a colonoscopy 3 years ago and they found 3 small polyps. They weren't cancerous and...
  11. YAY!!!!! Anyone know of one between Baltimore and DC?
  12. My thoughts and prayers are with you. ((((hug)))))
  13. I haven't had my gallbladder removed, but after my daughter was born, the Dr thought that I might have gallstones. They did an endoscopy and said that the lining of my stomach was inflamed. (they didn't go any farther than the stomach . After my son was born, my celiac blew up. I was really really sick for 8 months before the Dr told me to try going...
  14. Mine was a sandwich...just a ham and cheese sandwich. With Doritos. I do that too...it's in the back of my Day Planner.
  15. What about Dr. Pepper?
  16. AWWWWWW....MANNN!!!!!!!! Well that explains a lot. I can handle oats but... they're good, too... They say wheat and dairy free on the package...I didn't think of the ingredients list...I've been eating them for a long time..hmmm Thanks ya'll...I should have been more careful..That explains the cramps.
  17. Hey.....I thought that the Celiac episode was going to be on 5/09......Does the episode that came on last night (5/02) have anything to do with the one next week? Am I missing something?
  18. Cograts on the Graduation!! I wish I had a Kitchenaid...my neighbor has a professional that he has loaned me until this weekend. It's so much nicer than the one my Grandma had eons ago. It's on my list of things to get along with the Dyson and a few others.
  19. Dead bullfrog....Ewwwwww That mental picture was a giggler... Sorry Chelse I've never heard that one before.
  20. I tried some of the recipes in the Bette Hagman book and I wasn't really impressed. It was the first book I bought and I tried to make some bread from her recipe and flour mixture and it was really gross. I like the books by Jax Peters Lowell (Against the Grain and The Gluten Free Bible).
  21. I think the Carnation Instant Breakfast rich chocolate is gluten free. Not the milk chocolate one. They're pretty good, too.
