  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Quaker has said that none of their products can be considered gluten free because of the way they are stored/processed. I called them after I got horribly sick from their plain rice cakes. They said there is too much potential for cross-contamination. I steer clear of anything from them...having said that I know people on this forum have been fine with...
  3. I started having what I would call mild anxiety issues when I starting getting sick. They have resolved since I have been off gluten.
  4. What we need is some kind of a cap put on the insurance compaines, and we need doctors to not run needless tests, which also brings up the cost of health care.
  5. I like the WF gluten-free Bakehouse ginger molasses cookies. They are chewy...and seem like regular cookies. The chocolate chips ones are good too. I get waffles there as they are not in my regular grocery store. I also get my Tinky and Ancient harvest pasta. They also have meringue cookies which are good.
  6. scratch that- I found them
  7. My view new post button is gone too. I can't find the logout button either.
  8. I recently went on an overseas flight and had a couple of stops so I brought a bunch of food bcause I was paranoid. Most of it was just snacks...but I did bring a tuperware of frozen pasta with tomato sauce that I was worried about- but nobody even asked about it.
  9. I have tried it- not so great....although I love their pasta for everything else. I switched to the Thai Kitchen rice noodles in soup. They seem to do a bit better and they are ok if I freeze the soup and the thaw it.
  10. I really like the one from Bette Hagman in Fast and Healthy.
  11. I saw it too last night. I can't even remember what I was watching- but I am not sure it was a major network. The first time I saw it I thought I was seeing things- a little too much gluten-free food on the brain...and then I saw it a second time!
  12. I use some of the MAC lipglosses. There are some lipsticks by them that are not ok though.
  13. I got fluid filled blisters on my elbows and knees- that is how I got diagnosed with Dermatitis Herpetiformis by skin biopsy. Mine were pretty classic and in a common location for DH. I found that my elbows would be really itchy right before the blisters appeared. I also sometimes get little ones on the sides of my fingers.
  14. I just got back today from Scotland and both Tesco and Sainsbury had a lot of gluten-free foods available. They do have different standards in terms of the amount allowed- 200ppm- and I wasn't sure how I would do. I did react pretty badly to some of it- so I guess you just have to see how you do in terms of sensitivity. The choice of cereals wasn't great...
  15. I was back home in Toronto last week and tried it- it was pretty good! They put the crust on a separate pan to cook it. The only thing is that I don't think they used separate slicers- so be careful about that. I didn't have any issue with it. It was nice to have "real" pizza with the rest of my family.
  16. I totally understand your concerns. I feel the same way about the restaurant situation. I fear being dubbed "high maintenance" when I'm totally not because of my limited restaurant options. Not sure what the solution is. I guess in the end, if the person has a huge issue with it- they are not the right person for you. At least that 's what I'm telling myself...
  17. I actually bought the strips last week and I didn't have a problem with them. I didn't check their list, just the ingredients.
  18. OOH- I wish the WHole foods near me carried the Bakery on Main granola. It's a pain to order it online.
  19. or from me! But I've never been a huge fan of hers.
  20. I personally like the Bakery on Main better..but I have a TJ near me and nowhere sells the Bakery on Main granola. I had to order it online.
  21. I've wondered about them. I called about their salad dressings and they said they couldn't guarantee the ingredients but said that the chili and veg soup were gluten-free. I have been too scared to attempt it.
  22. These are the names that Bath and Body Works sent me: Wheat: or any ingredients containing the genus species name Triticum Vulgare Oat: or any ingredients containing the genus species name Avena Sativa Barley: or any ingredients containing the genus species name Hordeum Distichon Rye: or any ingredients containing the genus species name Secale Cereale...
  23. Quaker rice cakes made me violently ill! It was my worst gluten reaction yet. I'm glad some people aren't reacting to them though because they are the best. Quaker doesn't say anything they make is gluten-free because of the way they store things.
  24. I second 'Icebound" . That was amazing.
  25. I found Pantene Pro V leave in conditioner spray. I'm honestly not sure about the fragrance though. I'm at work..I'll have to check when I get home.
