  1. Whenever you have malabsorption due to celiac disease, you are susceptible to a myriad of complications from malabsorption. Each vitamin you are defficient in affects a different area of your body. Yes, it does get complicated! Hugs. Karen
  2. I'm pretty tuned in to Momma Goose and her feeling on this board, and I can say with some certainty that she has never voiced anything negative your way, Steve..... To be honest, I think that the ignore feature on this board is largely ignored..... Come to think of it, this is a prime example of what we are trying to point out. You can't make...
  3. Hey Carla! Try being a Newfie!!!!!!
  4. Oops! Forgot to add something: In my early 20's I also developed severe panic attacks, particularly while I was driving. As soon as I tried to get onto the highway, I would just lose it! My panic attacks were so bad, I thought for sure I was dying, and the only person who could calm me down was my sister. I would feel a panic attack coming on, and even...
  5. Or shredded to pieces! LOL!
  6. Okay, going out on a limb here cuz I'm pretty well at my wit's end and fed up. I think what Lisa was trying to attempt to do was lighten the mood a little bit, because quite frankly, there has been quite a bit of anal retentiveness on this board lately. It seems that no matter what you post, SOMEONE is offended. It's getting to the point where you are...
  7. You have to keep in mind that alot of times myself and probably others as well don't feel comfortable answering certain questions, as (in my case anyway), all the things you are "supposed to do" to find improvement, just simply have not worked. In fact, due to years and years of misdiagnosis, I have just recently been confirmed to have refractory celiac...
  8. I can SOOOOOO talk to you about those things you listed, but gotta get the girls to school first. Will post soon..... Hugs. Karen
  9. I have never seen so many birthdays in one day! Happy birthday to all! Hugs. Karen
  10. You wouldn't have a problem with the fence - you have ostrich legs, remember?
  11. An 8' fence, I can understand, but an 8" fence had me confoozed......
  12. If I stared at the moon all night, I would look like this.... <------------------------------------- hit refresh......
  13. Hey Metta/Ostrich/Hamster Face: Okay, a bit confoozed here...... why would it be so hard for a coyote to jump a 6" or 8" fence? Are they coyotes from Lilliput?
  14. We Irish are such lushes, aren't we, eh?
  15. Yeah, unfortunately, when there is a Post Patrol Police Officer around, we keep our straightjackets on so as to not get hauled up on the carpet.....
  16. A BOSS WALKED INTO THE OFFICE ONE MORNING NOT KNOWING THAT HIS ZIPPER WAS DOWN AND HIS FLY AREA IS WIDE OPEN HIS SECRETARY WALKED UP TO HIM AND SAID "BOSS THIS MORNING WHEN YOU LEFT YOUR HOUSE, DID YOU CLOSE YOUR GARAGE DOOR?" THIS WAS NOT A PHRASE THAT HER BOSS UNDERSTOOD, SO HE WENT INTO HIS OFFICE LOOKING...
  17. The general consensus here from many who have posted after they went to a dietician is that it was a waste of money. Most of the time, what they will do is take a page out of a binder that lists the basics of what not to have, but not by any means going into detail about toiletries, medications, glue on envelopes, etc. They will also give you a few websites...
  18. Just got back inside from letting out a few good howls at the moon...... I better behave for two reasons: 1) I don't have my Altoids - gave them to Mom at the hospital to help her heartburn. 2) I wouldn't want to offend anyone who might faint or swoon at the sight of anything even hinting at racy...
  19. I had to check my calendar - I thought it was April Fool's Day! Luv ya, K
  20. It doesn't look like this flare-up is as bad as the one last year, where she had many days of bloody diarrhea and was VERY sick. This time around, she is in alot of pain, but she is constipated with it this time...... The x-ray showed there was no perforation, so I think they won't have to do any surgery, just keep her on the IV and the antibiotics for...
  21. I had to take her up to the hospital a few nights ago. She is having another flare-up of her diverticulitis..... She has a CT-Scan tomorrow, hopefully, they won't have to do surgery....... Hugs. Karen
  22. Just got back from the hospital. Mom's still in a lot of pain. You will find this interesting: Mom is on liquids only but has really bad heartburn and they can't get clearance for her to have any antacids, so I pulled out my Altoids, asked the nurse if Mom was allowed to have them, she said "sure", so I gave them to Mom and they took her heartburn away...
  23. Steve, thank you. That's the first time I have laughed in days!!! Reminds me of my now infamous post (which is no longer available for viewing, of course.....): "If _______________ had gluten in it, I'd be dead by now......" MistressIsis, somewhere on this forum is a complete list of every single ingredient that is contained in semen. Gluten...
  24. Re #16........ Ew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope spiders are gluten free..............
