  3. I have no idea where in NYC celiac3270 lives, but I e-mailed him after that plane accident just to make sure he is okay. I have e-mailed again, neither time getting a response. He usually doesn't go this long without checking his e-mail. I really hope he is okay....... That boy has a special place in my heart. He's the first person to reach out to...

  9. Guilty here...... Well, technically, my family is Newfie, I was born and raised in Toronto. But proud to announce my Newfie heritiage, nonetheless...... My family is your typical Irish/Catholic/Newfie family. I have 102 first cousins. IMO, although I may be biased, Newfies are some of the most heartwarming, kind, generous, loving people...
  10. LOL! Where the heck do you live, anyway?
  11. Hi Sarah! It does take some getting used to.... To be honest, we really don't go out at all anymore - but that has more to do with the fact that we have four children and it costs us a fortune to go out! LOL! If there is an occasion where hubby and I need to celebrate something (couldn't imagine what though, since he totally forgot our wedding anniversary...
  12. It kind of reminds me of something my sister showed me this weekend. I have a golden retriever and my sister also wants one but her younger daughter is allergic. Well, seems she has found the answer to her prayers: Open Original Shared Link Yes, folks, introducing the Goldendoodle! A cross between a golden retriever and a poodle!
  13. Makes you wonder if the brain fog that most of us suffer from is the beginning stages of that...... Karen
  14. For those of you confoozed there was talk on another thread about if my cat and Metta's ostrich were to "have at it", what would the offspring look like! Sorry, that was the best I could do.....

  16. Thanks guys! There's alot of ham that I don't want to go to waste..... Of course, I couldn't care less about the turkey, as I can't eat it (comes frozen, already stuffed) and the kids aren't turkey lovers, so it's only Terry who eats it........... Hugs. Karen
  17. Question: I cooked Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. Leftovers have been in the fridge to nibble on since then. But since I have been at the hospital with Mom, alot of it hasn't been taken out and eaten. Today is the 3rd day it's in the fridge. If I put it in containers tonight and put it in the freezer (i.e. the ham and turkey) for future meals, will...

  20. I'm keeping my mouth shut (pardon the pun ) as I don't want the Post Patrol Police Officer after me...
  21. Now that would have been one for America's Funniest Home Videos!!!! Reminds me of when Mom and me took the kids to the beach last summer. The seagulls were brutal! I got food for the kids and proceeded to bring the stuff (french fries, drinks, ketchup, etc.) over to the picnic table where the kids were all sitting around. I just put the food in the...
  22. Hi! Welcome to the board! I agree that the tests will basically be worthless anyway, now that you are gluten free. Even if you were still consuming gluten, the endoscopy and biopsies are basically a hit and miss situation, depending on the amount of damage done. If the damage is only sporatic, then in all likelihood the spots they pick to biopsy very...
  23. Armetta, your ostrich is my favourite little guy! I just love that guy! Never, ever change him! He brings a smile to my face every time he stares at me.....
  24. I fully agree that the worst part of the whole ordeal is the preparation, once your through that, the rest is a breeze! Will be thinking of you tomorrow and saying prayers for a good ole Texas girl! Hugs. Karen
  25. AMEN, SISTER! Oh, and Judy, ain't he a cute little guy? I luv him! Hugs. Karen
