  1. Or a newfie joke.......
  2. Boy oh boy, you have no idea how many of us can relate. It's like a broken record around here, 1) doctors being terribly misinformed (i.e. why the heck didn't they mention the villious atrophy to you before?????) 2) nutritionists/dieticians being totally useless. I think once you read some posts around here, so much of what is shared here will be totally...
  3. Hi Nikki! I think it's wonderful that they are getting him in sooner instead of having to wait. I just had the biopsy last month, and here in Canada, they don't use general, they just sedate you, you don't go right under, you are still aware, you just don't feel anything (personally, what a wonderful high it is for me!!! LOL!) I am with you in the...
  4. I am with Ursula on this one. This sentence jumped out at me when I read it. Many years of damage being done necessitates the need for a longer period to get better. It is not unusual at all for some to take 2 years before the damage is reversed and they start to notice a difference. I say stay the course....... Oh, and welcome! Karen
  5. I am not familiar with Fantastic Foods (I am in Canada), but they are on here as gluten-free: Soups Campbell’s Canada (www.campbellsoup.ca/en/home.asp) (v-01/27/06) RED & WHITE: bean with bacon 10 fl oz, chicken broth 10 fl oz, chicken with rice 10 fl oz, chicken with white & wild rice 10 fl 0z, fiesta tomato 10 fl oz, tomato with basil &...
  6. It's not listed anywhere on Delphi and they just updated their list Sept. 1st. I wouldn't try it...... Karen
  7. Now THAT is an ubermullet! If you ever change your screen name, that's gotta be your new name! We still love ya, Vincent! Hugs. Karen
  8. Um, my name is Karen and I am Canadian. Soooooo original, eh? Sheesh! I sound like a Molson's commercial! Karen
  9. Is it mandatory in Kentucky to have a mullet, just as it is to have a pick-up in the front yard? RUNNING AND DUCKING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta stop watched Jeff Foxworthy! Wuv ya, Karen
  10. Scott, I am sitting here in awe, thinking about how one person could make such an impact in the celiac world. Here you are, just a regular guy (I mean that in a good way!), who took the bull by the horns and poured your heart and soul into this website. The fact is you have made such a HUGE impact in the celiac world and to people WORLDWIDE and for...
  11. I am sooooo happy for you Carrie! I love happy endings! Hugs. Karen
  12. DELPHI LIST VERY CURRENT: Revised September 1, 2006 *Use this list with caution. This list was created by the Celiac Disease On-Line Support Group members and was compiled from the Gluten-Free Product Lists posted on our forum message board. It does NOT guarantee a product or ingredient is Gluten-Free. This is only a guide to calling and verifying...
  13. Your mom and me sound like kindred spirits!!!! LOL! Gotta luv it! Hugs. Karen
  14. Gee, where to start: 1) I learned that a 13 yr old boy could be an amazingly articulate human being with the capacity to singlehandedly reassure me, calm me down, give me clear concise information and show a level-headedness that I didn't think existed in a 13 yr old. celiac3270, of course I am talking about you. Our wonderful celiac3270. We luv ya...
  15. Hi Spunky! Thank you for the reminder that not only the ones who we see and post with are benefitting from our knowledge, but the myriad of silent lurkers who are reading and listening and learning behind the scenes. I am so glad things that you have learned on here have made such a difference to your life! Hope to see you around more! Hugs. Karen
  16. Chris, With regard to your doctor saying the tingling and numbness would not be related to celiac, I would suggest you print this out and give him a copy in hopes of educating him as to the wide variety of symptoms this disease has..... https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-31106599711.42 Karen
  17. The only glitch I can see in regards to having a "sticky" thread for products/food that is okay to eat is the fact that it would be impossible to keep it totally up to date and the ramifications of someone getting glutened because of out of date information would be a major drawback. There would have to be a very bold disclaimer in the sticky absolving celiac...
  18. Grrrrrr! Just typed out a really long post and hit submit and lost it! Will try this again! Steve, I don't think your hair looks "mulletish" at all. To me, it looks more like the intellectual university professor type cut...... I hope you didn't take offence to me calling you PyroSteve. I try to find humour in all situations...... as you can tell...
  19. In Canada, it continues to be the same. ALL Tylenol products made in Canada are gluten free..... Open Original Shared Link Karen
  20. Hey PyroSteve! You can't fool us - you're just a cuddly teddy bear underneath that gruff exterior! Karen
  21. Oh boy, I hear ya! LOL! Karen
  22. I second the TSP. Up here we can get it in liquid form too. Steve, glad you weren't more seriously hurt...... Karen
  23. Perhaps I should be more specific..... I fully agree that the newbies are "eventually" welcomed to this forum, but there are many that are posted for quite some time before they get replies because too many people are caught up in the "politics" and threads that just seem to go in circles needlessly. Karen
  24. Oh, I agree, jersey, there are those who still do, just not as many as in the past..... Hugs! Karen
  25. Thank you evie for sharing and Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary. Your post gave me an important lesson. See, sometimes I feel that I no longer should be posting saying "Do this, you will feel so much better", because in actual truth, I wouldn't know because everything I have done so far has had no effect in improving my particular situation. But...
