  1. Those are the only granola bars my non-gluten-free dh likes, he has one everyday in his lunch. And my gluten-free/vegan dd eats them often, she keeps a box in the car.
  2. We used Pace until I saw on here several months ago that it's not gluten-free any more. Now we use Sam's Choice Southwest Black Bean & Corn salsa from W-Mart. They have several flavors and heats. I could eat it by the jar...mm.
  3. Here is how Carol Fenster says to do it: Aluminum Foil Rings Fold 12" strip of regular size aluminum foil lengthwise into 1" wide strip. Secure ends with masking tape to form ring. I sprayed the inside of the rings. Some on here use large tuna fish cans they have saved. I use the oversized muffin pan I got at Fred Meyers. The buns are a little...
  4. You are welcome! I love pumpkin, I was wondering what to do with the rest. My dh wants a pumpkin pie (below) just for him with graham cracker crust not gluten-free cookie crust (we are not celiac, our kids are intolerant). Or I might make more donuts or muffins or freeze it and use it in smoothies. There is alot you can do with pumpkin. I made chocolate...
  5. Someone else can answer that. I haven't deep fried anything in 25 years until this week. I used to pour cooled oil into a jar and reuse it to fry chicken. But I don't suggest doing that. I used a small pan so there is less oil left over. I pour the cool oil into a jar with a lid or a ziploc bag and toss it. There is only like a cup or so left. I used cheap...
  6. I was using potato starch, then I went to 1/2 potato and 1/2 corn starch. Now I mostly use cornstarch b/c its cheaper and you can get it anywhere.
  7. I just had to try the pumpkin ones and I'm so glad they turned out! Very EASY! Pumpkin Donut Drops In bowl, whisk together: 1 egg 1/4 cup pumpkin (pure) 1 T. sugar 1 T. veg. oil 2 T. df milk 1 T. agave nectar 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract Whisk into the wet ingredients: 3/4 cup gluten-free flour blend* 1/2 tsp. xanthan...
  8. How funny! I just cooked a turkey breast too, 3 days ago. I was still scared to try it in the crock pot so I baked it in the toaster oven. We had fruit salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing and cherry pie. The turkey was so moist! I want to buy another. I hope they are on sale for Easter! As for crock potting...plan to make chili...

  14. I tried to make some sour cream chocolate ones today. The flavor was good but they absorbed the oil When I get at it again I want to try pumpkin or berry.
  15. We mainly just use corn tortilla chips, great for all sorts of dips, chili, bean dip, guacamole, salsa, hummus, nachos, taco/sloppy joe mix...the Mission Chips are pretty tough, great for scooping.
  16. Karina has 2 cracker recipes, the one called Savory Grain Free calls for almond meal and parmesan. You could make 1/2 a recipe (I do that often) to see if you will like it. You might me able to sub nutritional yeast for the parmesan or part of it...IDK. I have only made crackers once, the flavor was good but they were soft...threw them in our soup. I found...

  20. I remembered where I found this recipe...in a Pillsbury cookbook I bought about 25 yrs ago. So simple: Beat together 1 can Pillsbury vanilla ready to spread frosting with 3 oz. softened cream cheese on low speed until smooth. I don't know how it will work with a df sub. Hope it works for you!
  21. I just saw a recipe made with tofu: Open Original Shared Link scroll to the last post
  22. I am glad you found it! Are you thinking about taking in samples/examples of non-gluten food/items for a show and tell? The kids would probably like that. I used to have a day care, my own kids are 17/20, but I always think about the little kids out there. I feel for you guys with all that you have to go thru with school. We just started gluten-free last...
  23. If interested, you could make your own. Ice cream, gluten-free cookies and a craft stick, opt. I love those Haagen Dazs bars, I haven't had them in years...
