  2. I used to do the uncooked wheat noodles and my recipe said to use about 1/4-1/2 cup water poured around the edges, seal with foil, and I always baked it longer. Now I boil the noodles in a frying pan, then put them on a plate until I start layering, no need to drain or rinse. I don't use eggs but do use prepared spaghetti sauce. I Like lots of sauce...mm...

  5. I'm not sure if I can help but can you sub honey or agave nectar for the sugar? Karina has great recipes, her apple cinnamon muffins use agave nectar. P. B. Banana cake uses honey and stevia. Pumpkin Raisin cake takes agave nectar and maple syrup. You might want to check them out and see if you can make a goody! Open Original Shared Link Open Original...
  6. I am almost 1/2 Irish, mostly Swedish. My grandma always cooked "farm fresh" food but never taught us anything specifically Irish. Probably b/c she was an orphan and never learned. She taught me how to bake COOKIES! She was a great cook. Names are Anderson, Neilson and Peterson, beyond that IDK.
  7. Here is my favorite soup recipe. I converted it from wheat pasta to rice. I have only made it a couple of times with rice so you might want to adjust if needed. Be sure to use enough liquid. It originally called for 1 can of beef broth but I decided tomato liquid would be healthier. Should be around $6 or so to make and its very good. Serve with garlic bread...

  10. There is a new formulation of gluten-free Kix but it does not say gluten-free on the box. The picture on the box is different, it's of an ear of corn. Our store had the new kind once but now only the old oat kind. The new kind does not have oat flour. I will try to post the link if I can find it. I found it! https://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index...

  22. Thanks for posting, Wonka. This recipe is almost identical to the focaccia I posted previously. I love its flavor, so I know your recipe will be yummy. I read somewhere else that you can sub a protein for the powdered milk, like almond or coconut flour, so I think I will try it. Non dairy powdered milk is expensive when you only need a little. But first...
