ARCHIVED Disappointed At Chipotle - What Should I Expect?
msmini14 replied to Nikki2777's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I get sick every time I eat there. Even if the employee changes gloves and is careful with my food. I love the food since it is good but not worth it to me. -
Gemini and Irishheart. I did not respond to this post to stir up everyone

I am glad I dont use this site for support anymore... Some come off as rude these days and not helpful.
-
After reading all of the comments and being a member on this board for a few years I have a couple of comments for this post. 1. From my understanding Chopper was venting about their glutening and just wanted some support. This is a support group. 2. I understand why people reacted the way they did. If newbies come on this site and read vapors glutened...

ARCHIVED Baked Goods Cooked At Higher Temperatures To Make Them Gluten Free?
msmini14 replied to jantrelau's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Unbelievable! Some compaines think we are stupid enough to believe this. I bought rice pudding about 4 years ago and it said gluten free on the label but had wheat listed on the label. How can it be gluten-free??? That is amazing this company told you that. So frustratring. -
ARCHIVED Dr. Oz Says Don't Go gluten-free If No Symptoms
msmini14 replied to Silencio's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I used to watch Dr. Oz until I realized how everything in the world is good one day and then bad the next or how many diets this man has promoted. I am sure he is only talking about gluten intolerance just so he can benefit from this too. Next thing I will hear is how Dr. Oz said to go gluten-free hahaha. Every show is different and there is always... -

ARCHIVED Ideas For Salads?
msmini14 replied to Junior Chef's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
My hubby and I love salads and I guess I would call this a garbage disposal salad since I put everything in it. Black Beans Canned beets Shredded cheese Cucumber Red Bell Pepper Mushrooms Tomato Avacado 1 boiled egg (per salad) 2 pieces of turkey bacon Red Onion The white part of green onions (hubby loves these) I no longer include lettuce... -
I want to say congrats to all the people out there that have been able to kick this unhealthy habit. I finally stopped smoking in March of 2009 and have not had one since! I smoked for 14 years straight at an average of 1 pack a day. Quitting was soooo hard but I did it. And like others have said, "If you can stop eating gluten, you can stop smoking"...

I am glad to hear you all have had a good experience =) I am happy RR offers buns but I probably wouldnt order my chicken sandwich with bread again because it fills me up to quickly. I love my lettuce wraps now and I cant believe I just said that lol.

ARCHIVED Reaction To Buddig Lunch Meats...or?
msmini14 replied to Seante Wilson's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I eat Budding all the time and I too buy the little packs because they are perfect and have never had a problem =) -
I agree with others on here because it all has to do with the store and management. I didnt eat there for a couple of years until I actually went in and spoke with the manager to ask if they use a dedicated fryer. What is the point having a hamburger or chicken sandwich if you cant have fries? lol. Anyways, I have enjoyed great service (Concord, CA) and...

ARCHIVED Find Any Strange New Things You Love Food Wise?
msmini14 replied to Newtoitall's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I thought I wouldn't survive going gluten-free over 3 years ago. Now I see it as a blessing, I now have such a wide variety of fruit, veggies and food to choose from. If I hadn't been diagnosed with celiac I would still be eating unhealthy. I love so many different foods now that I would never have touched before. I know that I am addicted to peanut butter... -
ARCHIVED Chex Commercial
msmini14 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Just had to say I just saw my first gluten free chex commercial. It was geared around kids but it was still cool. I have never seen a gluten free commercial, made me happy lol. -
ARCHIVED How Often Do You Cheat?
msmini14 replied to steve-010's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I went gluten-free in february 2008, I ate gluten on purpose march of 08 because I couldn't resist and I didn't understand how important it was for me to eat gluten-free. Well after march of 08 I have never eaten gluten on purpose, it is not worth getting sick or any other affects that it takes on me. It sucks because there are people out there who tell... -
Yes the oven does good to but you have to either run gas or electric oven for an hour to bake bread. I used to do that, best thing I ever did was buy a bread maker.
-
I also have a few recipes that have turned out great with this bread machine
-
I have the sunbeam bread machine and I love it. I have used it dozens of times. I follow the directions the bread maker said which is all liquid goes first; then flour and make a little pit for the yeast. You will have to help it mix a little since the flour sticks to the side bu from what I have read this is normal. I also use the gluten-free setting on...

I try to eat oatmeal every other day (if you can tolerate), I take my fiber gummies everyday, veggies with lunch and dinner. I also found this gluten free oat mix that has 9 grams of fiber per 1/4 cup so I mix this with yogurt.

ARCHIVED Dannon Light And Fit Yogurt
msmini14 replied to dmeagan's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I prefer not to eat Danon for this reason. I do enjoy yoplait and the Safeway brand lucerne. Others would say it is up to you and your comfort zone. At least Danon is honest with us. -
ARCHIVED Son In Law Deployment

ARCHIVED Controversial Facebook Post By Chef
msmini14 replied to idonteatwheat's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I have been following this on Facebook and just can't believe this guy. I hope he is happy with himself since I assume he has ruined his career. It is sad, like we don't have enough to worry about when we eat out, now we have chefs purposely trying to make us sick. You know this guy isn't the only one, he is just the only one who made a public comment and...
